Do You Believe In
Reincarnation?
By: William McKay
Published: June 7, 2010The dictionary meaning of the word ‘reincarnation’ means rebirth. Thus, it refers to one’s soul ‘being born again’ or ‘being fl esh again’. Soul, the central seat of all power, energy and emotions of an individual is immortal in nature and it is trapped in the physical body. After the body dies, the soul leaves it and reincar-nates in another new one.
Many a times the term reincarnation is used synonymously with that of meta-morphosis and resurrection. It must be clarifi ed at the very start that all these three terms differ in their meanings and implications to a considerable extent. While metamorphosis means changing one form of life to another, the Christian term resurrection refers to rise of the body from the dead.
Reincarnation is also known as soul transmigration and has been a concept which has been believed in since the an-cient times. Prevalent in both the eastern and western hemispheres of the word during those days, it was part of almost all doctrines that studied the infi nite potential of the human soul. Starting from the ancient eastern beliefs,
mention may be made of Hinduism, the age old religion that is known to be one of the oldest and richest in terms of its spiritual content. Ancient Hindu scripts known as Upanishads contain this core belief in reincarnation where the soul is stated to be immortal trapped in the body which is subjected to life and death in the world which is an illusion.
Another core concept of Hinduism is that of the ‘Karma’ or quality of your deeds in your past lives. Thus past karma defi nes the quality of life and experiences you undergo in your current life. Till the time you attain complete spiritual understand-ing of the ultimate truth, your soul goes on being reincarnated into this illusionary world.
When after numerous reincarnations you understand that real lasting happi-ness rests in something else than earthly desires, you start spiritual practice known as ‘Sadhana’ and ultimately realize the ultimate truth that soul is the central seat of all emotions, power and energy and all other things are illusions. It is then that your reincarnation stops and your soul attains the fi nal liberation or ‘Moksha’.
Ancient Egyptians and Greek philosophies during that time are not much differ-ent with both believing in reincarnation. Egyptians believed in ‘ka’ as the source of supreme power and energy which can be compared to our concept of the
soul. Proof of their belief lies in their act of preserving bodies of the dead so that it can accompany the ‘ka’ into the next world. The Greeks on the other hand be-lieved that the soul leaves one body and rests in a place called the underworld for purifi cation thereafter reincarnating itself in another new born body. Till the time this purifi cation takes place, the soul goes through reincarnations. Once ultimate purifi cation is attained, the cycle of reincarnation stops.
Theosophical belief on the other hand refers to spirit or souls as an immortal, omnipotent, ageless, timeless and form-less source of energy which comes to and goes back from the earth through a rhythmic process. It manifests itself on earth in life form only to gain more expe-rience and after that is over, it departs to the high sublime layers to complete the rhythmic process.
If you are interested to know more about your reincarnations, in other words, information about your past life, PLRT or Past Life Regression Technique is the best method. Using hypnotism in helps the mind to focus and thereby attain a higher spiritual awakening so as to recollect memories of his/her past lives. Moreover, meditation also leads the way towards heightened awareness about yourself, controlling the subconscious and getting in sync with your soul.

Top Ten Worst Foods Here’s the fi nal installment of the list of foods to avoid
compiled by Dr. Ian Hoffman:
#10 Dairy Products
Many commercial milk cows in the U.S. are injected with a ter-
rible chemical called recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH or sometimes rBST) despite being banned in Canada and the Eu-
ropean Union. This growth hor-mone is designed to make each cow produce more milk which
leads to high rates of infection in
their udders, leading the cows to require more and more
antibiotics. The milk is then pas-teurized and homogenized. Pas-teurization and homogenization alters the composition and nutri-ent value of milk. We can’t even
utilize the calcium from cow’s milk and there are plenty of other ways to get your vitamin D. Kids
are especially sensitive to milk (and cheese). We are the only species on the planet who con-
tinue to drink milk after age two. What’s more, we are drinking milk which is designed for a different species! Milk has a major role in the climbing rates of chronic ear infections, allergies, and asthma in children, as well as diabetes, skin conditions, and upper respi-
ratory conditions in adults.

The Taste of Authentic Mexican Food is Hard to Beat! Tony Bueler
Mexican food has become a billion busi-ness! With all the outlets combined, it is clear that Americans are enjoying the
fl avors of Mexican food. Food experts say Americans are acquiring more adventur-ous tastes, as well as cravings for new fl avors and ingredients. Mexican food is an acquired taste for some, but for oth-ers it is an immediate love and some-times even an obsession.
Mexican food has been built upon from many diverse cultures. It is a combina-tion of the Spanish cuisine which was brought in by the Spanish settlers, mixed
with the native foods of the Mayans and Aztecs. It also includes fl avors from the Mojave and Apache tribes. You will fi nd a lot of similarities between Indian and Mexican cuisines, especially in the use of chillis, tortillas, salsas, and rich sauces.
Salsa, the Spanish word for sauce, is uncooked and sometimes pureed until chunky, smooth, or chopped. In mod-ern salsas ingredients include large red tomatoes, tomatillo, chipotle {a staple in the Aztec diet} and the avocado. These are the same core ingredients used in the past. Salsas, relishes, and chutneys can liven up even the dullest of dishes. It is rare to fi nd any Texas style food without one of these accompaniments.
Mexican food uses authentic ingredients that come from its particular geography and culture. It varies by region, be-cause of local climate, geography and ethnic differences. The north of Mexico is known for its meat dishes and beef production. The Southeastern Mexico region, on the other hand, is known for its chicken-based dishes and spicy vegetable.
At its heart, Mexican food is fragrant, fl avorful and exciting to the palate. The ingredients used should be fresh and the toppings should never overwhelm. They should instead complement the dish.Mexican food in its essence is very light, very dependent upon chiles and herbs and nuts and spices. So the food tends to be very light when done the right way.
Tortilla chips, margaritas and chili con carne are now well-known around the world.. Tortillas are made by curing maize in lime water and then kneading the mixture into a dough, and cooking the thin patties on a fl at grill. The most common tortillas in the United States’ version of Mexican food are made of corn, but this version of the corn tortilla is very much unlike the authentic, origi-nal version.
Eating authentic Mexican food is com-forting and fl avorful on the palate and very fulfi lling to the stomach. Mexican food in a restaurant has its place, but for me nothing beats the taste of authentic Mexican food.
