Open source: describes practices in production and development that promote access to the

end product's source materials. It is also a philosophy that promotes openness and freedom of

sharing. Open source is usually connected to a certain type of software development.

OPLE: Open Participatory Learning Environments. These are online learning environments, found

on the World Wide Web, usually consistent of platforms and communities in which individuals
