2It has been a very busy first quarter of 2015 with a wide range of developments of, and investments in, the business.
We started the year off with a spectacular Global Leaders Summit in Hawaii where a number of initiatives were announced.
LEO Marketplace. A site where Merchants can advertise their products and services to Members and which will, over the coming months, allow Members to pay with LEOcoin; both on-line and in store.
The LEO Merchant recruitment programme is a key element both to the success of the LEO Marketplace and to strengthening the infrastructure around the LEOcoin community. At the end of the quarter the number of Merchants registered was approaching 32,000 in 41 countries.
As a further step towards making LEOcoin a force to be reckoned with, we announced that on 2nd April 2015 the LEOxChange would
be launched in Hong Kong. This will widen the LEOcoin community beyond LEO Members and allow much greater freedom for all to participate in the LEOcoin initiative.
With such investment being made in this part of our business, Atif Kamran and I have had meetings with the UK Government leaders and Treasury. The purpose of these meetings was to make known our views on the benefits of digital currencies to entrepreneurs, small businesses and the worlds economies. The UK Government announced that it intends to apply anti-money laundering regulation to digital currency exchanges in the UK, to support innovation and prevent criminal use. Being part of the discussion means we are well placed to ensure we meet, and where possible exceed, the regulations governing digital currencies like LEOcoin.
The first tranche of the new LEO MasterCard was issued to the Leaders at Hawaii, with general availability targeted for the end of the quarter.
In terms of the LEO corporate structure, we have strengthened the Board with
Geraldine Aquino joining as Chief Operating Officer. She will continue
to manage our North American division as we develop the market; and in particular as we launch into USA. To manage the development of our eLearning, eTutoring and Live Events portfolio, we have appointed Ursa Zivkovic as Products Director.
On the ownership side, we have invested in new properties in France and Germany and, under the guidance of the newly appointed General Manager of LEO Tower, David Johnstone, we are planning the addition of further assets in North America. All of which will allow Members further opportunities to participate in this final part of the LEO entrepreneurial journey.
I have said that 2015 will be a defining year for LEO and Im confident that with the investments we are making, coupled with the enormous efforts being made by our Members, it will be an exciting and successful 12 months.

4What will entrepreneurship look like in 2015
Erica Nicole CEO and founder of yfsmagazine.com - Young, Fabulous and Self-Employed - informs us that for 2015 entrepreneurial education will be at the top of the list with on-line learning now more popular and more effective than traditional learning, giving people access to specific skills and knowledge which is helping to create fantastic entrepreneurs.
There are almost 28 million small businesses in the US [and] approximately 543,000
new businesses get started each month. reports Forbes magazine.
It is the readily available on-line entrepreneurial education that is strengthening the prospect for businesses in 2015. What is needed is more countries, more companies and more governments ensuring that businesses and entrepreneurial education is made available to everyone, regardless of language, cultural background and location.

5The importance of education, especially within the subjects of business, is always at the forefront of everything we do at LEO. We make it our daily mission to ensure that our Members have constant access to material, specific knowledge skills and entrepreneurial leaders who can provide them with the tools to become successful
business and entrepreneurial leaders themselves. We dont believe that its limited to those who come from a privileged background. Some of the most influential and successful people in the world of business started with the odds stacked against them. So its important to ensure that the resources are there, so everyone has an even footing.
Can entrepreneurship be taught?
Leah Davidson writing in the Huffington Post takes the question Can Entrepreneurship be Taught? to people who have been successful entrepreneurs. Here are two of the respondents answers.
Amy Rosen is CEO of Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). She believes that entrepreneurship is the best way to tackle the world-wide problem of high youth unemployment She believes that every child should have access to specific knowledge and skills, because the most successful entrepreneurs are usually the children at the back of the classroom, not paying attention, because they dont learn things in traditional ways.
Rick Aubry, founder of New Foundry Ventures believes that whilst entrepreneurship can be taught, it isnt for everyone. Social entrepreneurship in particular requires personality, orientation, tenacity, and commitment to solving problems, explains Aubry. You have to have a certain capacity to take risks as well
as the flexibility to adapt to change.
It is incredibly reassuring to hear that more is being done to ensure that entrepreneurial education is being brought to the forefront of the educational system. Traditional learning and traditional ways of getting into businesses are changing, and it is extremely important that we are providing our future generations with the tools and knowledge that they will need to become a success and do well. What is even more reassuring is that educational heads are recognising that the education of entrepreneurship is something that should be open to everyone, regardless of race, gender and language.
We may not be able to teach everything that there is to know about business and becoming a successful entrepreneur; they are subjects that are changing daily. But by making education freely available we give everyone every opportunity to be successful.
You have to have a certain capacity to take risks as well as the flexibility to adapt to change.

6In March we sent out a communication regarding the Top 10 questions people may ask when they first hear about LEO because of the bad things they have heard about some Direct Selling companies being just a get rich quick scheme for the founders.
Its worth restating the response to that particular question.
Direct selling provides individuals with opportunities to reach very high income levels regardless of their educational background, work experience, ethnic origin or country of
residence. As in any business, the people who are the most successful are the ones who have put in the most effort.
Being one of the founding members or one of the early Members does not automatically make them the highest earners. When you join does not determine what you earn; it is entirely a result of the amount of sales you make personally or the amount of sales you make as a team. Many of our Members earn more than their sponsor and more than their sponsors sponsor.
Atif Kamran says Its a sad fact that unfortunately some companies are out to get what they can. Our LEO Members hear it a lot - its a scam, its a pyramid scheme, bet you have to pay up front. LEO doesnt and will never work this way. Our Members are there to provide people with the tools and platforms to become successful business people. To help them turn their dreams into entrepreneurial success. To grow as a company together, rather than focus on the benefits for those at the top.
Top 10 questions
Stone Zhang is a financial advisor who left China and immigrated to Canada in 2002. Over 20 years ago, Stone led a direct sells team of tens of thousands in mainland China. In 2005, Stone proclaimed in front of his fellow members that he would never join another direct selling company. However, Stone changed his mind when he came across LEO in March 2014.
When asked Why did you join LEO and what was the main thing that persuaded you he replied The trust and respect I had in Dan and the high recognition of LEARN, EARN and OWN.
He went on to say I love my LEO business because it is a global business which enables me to go around the world. My best LEO memory is the birth of LEOcoin at the Dubai event. My greatest goal is to help more people learn and understand LEARN EARN OWN
His tip for success in LEO is having the guts to try.

770% of all participants in the direct selling businesses around the world are women. This is reflected in the LEO Membership too, the high performers are predominantly women. They are natural networkers and experts in people skills and have a leadership style that really works in this business. This element of diversity, a mix of men and women in the Membership is very healthy and it is reflected in the LEO corporate team. Our senior positions are dominated by women; high performers in leadership roles.
Figures released by Radius Equity revealed that the number of women with an income of
over 1m was up by almost a third year on year. Whats more, the number of female millionaires is increasing at a much faster rate than the number of male millionaires, which is up just 10% year on year.
The statistics of 2014-2015 showing the strides women are making within the world of business and entrepreneurship is outstanding. We are excited to see that these numbers are expected to grow.
The world-wide economy is changing daily before our very eyes, with women being brought to the forefront of business success. In the last few months of 2014, 77,000 more
women decided they would prefer to become their own boss. This a 5.6% growth on the same time period in 2013. We are going beyond seeing women be successful in business. Young women are now being educated and encouraged on what it means to be in business and to become an entrepreneur, by helping them to take hold of their dreams and ideas, and giving them tools to make them into a reality.
We are proud to see so many from all over the world becoming successful and more educated within the business and entrepreneurial world.
