CLM have worked on five Olympic, Paralympic and Winter Games and successful Terminal 5 programme
SHARED AGENDA SHARED AGENDA
Lessons – Programme start
• Setting up a programme organisation prior to commencing construction works enables a client to identify any potential obstacles to a smooth delivery
• If projects are set up individually and procured separately, this leads to reduced reliance on others but also to less knowledge sharing and integration
• Established and recognised companies should work alongside companies that are striving to gain recognition
Lessons – Programme delivery
• Implementing standard control mechanisms across the whole programme
• Quality should be considered as an individual and key performance indicator from the beginning
• Building a strong programme culture based on inclusion, added workforce responsibility, incentives and benchmarking significantly contributes towards increasing productivity and quality of results
Lessons – Programme close-out
• Aim to complete construction of each project well ahead of operation for testing and final preparations
• Ensure all parties are involved in the close-out to enable uninterrupted testing and final preparations
• Ensure that the legacy for each project is agreed and signed off prior to the start of construction
