GPS Fete Thank you to staff, parents and students who made sure our annual fete was a huge success!

2018 Planning

We are currently planning for the year ahead. If your children will not be attending Griffith Public School in 2018 could you please let us know as soon as possible? Thank you.

School Hats

School hats MUST be worn when the students are out in the playground. It must be a school hat with the school logo. Hats can be purchased for $10 from the P&C Uniform Shop or the school canteen.

Presentation Day Griffith Public School Presentation Day is on Thursday 7th December starting at 10.30am at the Griffith Regional Theatre.

Letters have been sent home with students who are receiving awards. If you have not yet collected tickets to attend please come in to school to collect them. There are limited tickets left.

Tickets will not be available after Thursday 30th November.

P&C News

Fete: we hope everyone had a wonderful time at the fete! We are lucky to have such enthusiastic, hard-working teachers at GPS who can organize such a fantastic event for the students! Not only was it a fun day, but it raised over $2,000 for the P&C!! This money will be used to subsidize uniforms and excursions for all GPS students.

Uniform Shop: the P&C uniform shop is still open every Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00! Thank you to our great team of volunteers – especially Debra, who has been doing lots of work for the uniform shop this term! Gift wrapping for Christmas: the P&C will be wrapping gifts at Griffith Central to raise money for our school! Please drop by on the 11th and 23rd December to say “Hi” and lend your support!

P&C Meeting: Our last P&C meeting for the year is next Monday, December 4th at 5:30pm. Christmas nibbles provided!! Vanessa Clark, P&C President

Everyone Welcome AECG meetings provide opportunities for Aboriginal people to be actively involved in all decision making that is relevant to education and training through a collaborative consultative process. White Ribbon Day Yesterday, 28th November, Stage 3 acknowledged White Ribbon Day, Australia’s campaign to prevent men’s violence against women. Thank you to Vicki Louise Simpson and George Broome from the AMS (Aboriginal Medical Service) who spoke to the Stage 3 students about White Ribbon Day.

Exciting News for K-2!

On Thursday 14th December, K-2 children will be able to participate in a fun day at school. This will involve time spent on an inflatable water slide and class parties with a visit from Santa. To go on the water slide, children will need to bring the following items labelled with their name:

swimmers towel sunscreen rash shirt

For the class party, your child will need to bring one item of food to share with their class. Thank you, K-2 Teachers.
