YA C H T M A N A G E M E N T :What is a Yacht Manager?

A Yacht Manager’s role is to offer support and advice to both owners and captains, ensuring that the manner in which a yacht is operated is as efficient and effective as possible and in compliance with all necessary regulations. With assurance that all administrative and maintenance tasks are being performed in accordance with the mandatory statutory requirements of each flag, port state and build, owners are free to enjoy their time on board, confident in the reassurance that every single detail has been taken care of.

SAFETY FIRST

As of July 2002, all commercial vessels greater than 500GT are required to comply with the standardised procedures of the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) and International Safety Management (ISM) codes, a comprehensive set of measures to enhance the security of ships and port facilities by describing minimum mandatory security requirements, guidance for their implementation with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and guidelines to reduce pollution.

These key considerations are dictated by the regulations in force on each ship (SOLAS, LOADLINES, MARPOL, STCW, European directives and national flag regulations). Main Rise Yachting is able to assist with the management of your safety onboard, ensuring that your yacht is fully compliant, based on its specific set of criteria. Main Raise Yachting also has the ability to act as a Designated Person Ashore (DPA), a mandatory requirement in compliance with the ISM code.

Crew

C R E W S O L U T I O N S :Main Raise Yachting, proposes a crew placement service. We meet each candidate, check their certificat, medical visits to date and make sure they conform to the vessel flag to which they occur.Finally, we take care of crew insurance and the development of their employment contracts.

The structure is made so that the client is fully discharged due to formalities crew hiring.

· All Crew are employed through a Seafarers Employment Agreement (SEA) in line with MLC best practice requirements.

· MRC charges on a simple fixed fee basic rather than as a percentage of the crew member’s salary

· MRC has invested in a sophisticated ans secure cloud based crew payroll software program. The software assists in enabling MRC to ensure that record keeping and payments are handled efficiently and accurately and includes various functions including :

- The automatic notification of salary payments to crew members via SMS text and an email attaching pay slips.

- The invoicing and payement of crew in multiple currencies.

- The apportionment of salary payments for the convenience of crew members in line with MLC guidance.

- The notification of up and coming qualification renewals, training courses, visas and medical certificates

We also put in place for the crews, training from the new STCW guidelines
