Welcoming the yoga enthusiasts, Consul General Dr. K. Srikar Reddy counted the manifold blessings of

daily practice of yoga in improving the quality of life; bringing balance and harmony; reducing stress and

raising individual capacity for greater contribution to a peaceful and progressive world.

Yoga has grown tremendously in Ho Chi Minh City in terms of number of practitioners and he wants to

convey sincere thanks to India for promoting yoga for healthy society and Consulate to hold International

Day of Yoga - IDY) not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in many other cities/ provinces in Vietnam.

Mr. Mai Ba Hung, Deputy Director of Department of Culture & Sports

In his message for the 4th International Day of Yoga, the Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

mentions:

“In a world of excess, Yoga promises restraint and balance.

In a world suffering from mental stress, Yoga promises calm.

In a distracted world, Yoga helps focus, boosts concentration.

In a world of fear, Yoga promises hope, strength and courage.”
