So what is a BHAG?It is more than another acronym

Organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible and

useful.

Be the best company in the world for all fields of family entertainment.

Engage and develop every young person in the world.

We want to do the IMPOSSIBLE.

In reality a BHAG has nothing to do with the impossible.

It was actually a goal setting method outlined in the book “Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary

Companies” by James Collins and Jerry Porras

“A true BHAG is clear and compelling, serves as a unifying focal point of effort and acts as a clear catalyst for team spirit.

It has a clear finish line, so the organisation can know when it has achieved the goal; people like to shoot for finish lines.”

In the next 5 minutes come up with a BHAG for the rest of your AIESEC

journey.

In the next 5 minutes come up with a personal BHAG.

Get back together with your new best friend

Share your AIESEC BHAG (and your personal BHAG if your feeling particularly brave).

As their best friend you should be able to provide feedback and keep them accountable for the BHAG’s success.
