In the Japanese Grand Prix in 1964, powered by Nissan G7 6 cylinder engine, the Skyline finished first in its class,
beginning its racing legacy.

Lighter and smaller than the R33, the R34 GT-R came equipped with a 6 speed close ratio transmission and enhanced ATESSA E-TS4 wheel drive system.
