In the Japanese Grand Prix in 1964, powered by Nissan G7 6 cylinder engine, the Skyline finished first in its class,

beginning its racing legacy.

February 1969 – the first GT-R edition is released as part of the 3rd generation Skyline line-up. The car features a 2.0 liter engine producing 160hp.
