February 1969 – the first GT-R edition is released as part of the 3rd generation Skyline line-up. The car features a 2.0 liter engine producing 160hp.

March 1972 – The Skyline GT-R wins 50 races within 3 years

R32 Skyline (1989-1993)The GT-R is reintroduced for the first time since 1973.

Calsonic Group A GT-R

In August 1991, the Skyline GT-R becomes the first Japanese car to ever win the Spa Francocious 24 hr Endurance Race.

The R32 GT-R wins 29 consecutive races in Group A 1990-1994.

R33 Skyline (1993-1998)In 1995, Nissan Skyline GT-R

set a record at the Nurburgring, lapping the track in 7min 59sec – at the time, faster than any

Lighter and smaller than the R33, the R34 GT-R came equipped with a 6 speed close ratio transmission and enhanced ATTESA E-TS4 wheel drive system.
