3. PE/French/Electives

• Every day will start with connection time and PE

• Important to have flexibility for projects and learning

• Direct Studies, Workshops (optional and mandatory)

• French will be distance ed course supported by classroom teacher. (blended model)

• Electives will be integrated into projects – hiring teacher for a block to work with NLC students

8. Technology• Equipment needed or can be used at the NLC

• Any i-pad, tablet or laptop that is running at least one of the following OS’s:o Windows XP – service pack 3 (Minimum on a laptop) preferred for extra

benefits windows 7o Apple OS 10.4 (Minimum laptops) preferred OS 10.5 or higher 2 to 4 gig

ram.

• Needs to support at least wireless B,G preferred N

• Should have one USB port CD/DVD rom not necessary.

• For windows XP be nice to have a minim 512meg ram preferred 1gig or higher and should have an up today antiviruso Free from Microsoft “security essentials”

• Needs to have the ability to create a PDF digital document from whatever document/production office software they will be using.o “Open Office” (free) would be more than enough
