What is a brand?

A brand is a product or service that has been specifically designed to be communicated or marketed to its

designated audience easily.

What is my brand image?

• The brand image that my artist has is

• Fun, Funky & Exclusive

• I feel that this brand image would be successful as it would appeal to the main steam audience yet wouldn’t neglect its quirky indie following.

Brand Identity

• A brand identity is something that the audience can easily associate with a product. Eg. Slogan, name or sign.

• The brand identity for my artist is easily recognisable for its intended audience.

Ancillary Tasks - Advert

Both adverts have gone black and white however there is no public plugging on the other advert and no reference to their brand identity whereas in my advert there is.

Ancillary Tasks - Similarities

This is a Japanese artists Isoa’s album cover. This like ours is showing the cold snowy weather, this might represent the loneliness and isolation that we have tried to create in our project.

Ancillary Tasks - Differences

All of these album covers are very different to mine as they offer a more artistic side. Apart from ‘berm’ which has simply cut out a baby and edited it in photo-shop, but it has been edited to become spooky and unnerving which again is very different to my own.

Conclusion

Overall I find that both our video and ancillary tasks comply to the indie genre. They both follow the conventions yet have their own individual stamp to them as seen the similarities and differences.
