Proposal

I am here to show my proposal, the genre would be house based but maybe Dubstep because it wouldn’t matter what music because it would be best with no lyrics…My Idea would be a boy is running away from a robot/clown and he is just running most of the video but also the clown and the robot after him and when it says “run for cover” it will have a the robot and clown saying it.

These are the rules that will need to be in the Music Video:

1. It can be narrative but also Concept because it is a bit random but has a little story to it.

2. Firstly when the boy is running and so is the clown and robots, the shot would change from being a shot so you can see the whole body of the character. Then an over the shoulder to look at the bad characters then for when the robot and clown are saying the lyrics it would be a extreme close up on their face.

3. Need a realistic robot and a clown but for the boy he would just be a normal boy who would look very scared.

4. We will shoot outside for the running but for the lyric bit just need a black background.

5. There would be no change to the lighting as because it would be outside and mostly it would be a sunny day or a rainy day.

6. I will make the running slow down, so it would look like it is in slow motion.7. The boy will be in casual clothes and two other people would be dressed as

a clown and a robot.8. The Sequence:

(a) Take one shot at the boy(b) Take another over the shoulder viewing the followers (c) Do a same shot as the first one but towards the followers(d) Then 2 shots for the close up one each on each character

9. Nothing is needed to be set up just the camera which is properly not going to be on a tripod if raining.

Music Video Influences

Mojo – Blues ----------------------- www.youtube.com/watch?v=otoSrFSPXtI

Hoodie Allen – You’re Not A Robot - www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBJljQuf2Vo

Rihanna – Umbrella -------------- www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iQRXuAo6Eg

The Used – I Come Alive -------- www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i8nj9NePKA

Mojo blues influenced me because it has a clown and I would want a clown to chases someone.

Hoodie Allen’s video shows robots chasing him this is relevant to the mojos influences because they both are similar.

Rihanna’s video has raining in it hopefully it would be raining on the day so makes it more dramatic.

The used video inspired me because it has a boy running but I changed it so he would be getting chased.

Production Concerns Budget- £0, I am able to be successful because I will have to

manage my own equipment and software. I will find where I will film my project.

Time – well we may not be in, I mean by this is someone may not show up to a schedule time to record the video. We could try

Page 4: Propasol

making sure there is a day where everyone is free and set that as a day to work on.

Venue- this may not have the day we need to record on which would be bad but we could pre-book a date to make sure we get a spot in the venue.

Work- we will need to be well organised which is relevant to the time concern because if we are not working on time then we may not be able to finish editing or small scenes for the music video.

Costume/Props – we may not have the right costumes and props we need for the shoot because we won’t be able to record without props and costumes.

Camera Work – we will need a person who has a sturdy hand because if not it may shake so it would be best to put on a tripod but even then it could not be a smooth pan if so may need a suitable Camera Person.
