REPLACING THE LITHIUM BATTERY OF THE REMOTECOMMANDER (CDX-G3150UV only)Under normal conditions, the battery will lastapproximately 1 year. (The service life may beshorter, depending on the conditions of use.)When the battery becomes weak, the range of theremote commander becomes shorter.

CAUTIONDanger of explosion if battery is incorrectlyreplaced. Replaced only with the same orequivalent type.

Notes on the lithium batteryKeep the lithium battery out of the reach of children.Should the battery be swallowed, immediatelyconsult a doctor.Wipe the battery with a dry cloth to ensure a good

contact.Be sure to observe the correct polarity when installingthe battery.Do not hold the battery with metallic tweezers, otherwise a short-circuit may occur.

WARNINGBattery may explode if mistreated. Do notrecharge, disassemble, or dispose of in fire.

CautionsRun all ground (earth) leads to a commonground (earth) point.Do not get the leads trapped under a screw, orcaught in moving parts (e.g., seat railing). Before making connections, turn the car ignitionoff to avoid short circuits.Connect the power supply lead to the unit andspeakers before connecting it to the auxiliarypower connector.Be sure to insulate any loose unconnected leadswith electrical tape for s afety.

Choose the installation location carefully so thatthe unit will not interfere with normal drivingoperations.Avoid installing the unit in areas subject to dust, dirt, excessive vibration, or high temperature, such as in direct sunlight or near heater ducts.Use only the supplied mounting hardware for asafe and secure installation.

Note on the power supply lead (yellow)When connecting this unit i n combination with otherstereo components, the amperage rating of the carcircuit to which the unit is connected must be higherthan the sum of each component’s fuse amperagerating.

Mounting angle adjustmentAdjust the mounting angle to less than 45°.

    Connection/Installation

    Precautions

If you have a power antenna (aerial) without a relaybox, connecting this unit with the supplied powersupply lead may damage the antenna (aerial).

CautionsRun all ground (earth) leads to a common

ground (earth) point.Do not get the leads trapped under a screw, orcaught in moving parts (e.g., seat railing). Before making connections, turn the car ignitionoff to avoid short circuits.Connect the yellow and red power supply leadsonly after all other leads have been connected.Be sure to insulate any loose unconnected leadswith electrical tape for safety.

Choose the installation location carefully so thatthe unit will not in terfere with normal drivingoperations.Avoid installing the unit in areas subject to dust, dirt, excessive vibration, or high temperature, such as in direct sunlight or near heater ducts.Use only the supplied mounting hardware for asafe and secure installation.

Note on the power supply lead (yellow)When connecting this unit in combination with otherstereo components, the amperage rating of the carcircuit to which the unit is connected must be higherthan the sum of each component’s fuse amperagerating.
