BUILDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD Our Holy Thursday collection was designated to help those in Puerto Rico affected by Maria, a category 4 hurricane that destroyed much of the island. In addition to the $2,311.55 that was raised during Holy Thursday, St. Helen Parish added $10,000. Casa sin Fronteras, Inc. was selected as the recipient of your generosity. Casa sin Fronteras, Inc. is a non-profit organization affiliated with Missionary Community of Villaregia, a religious organization that is part of the Roman Catholic Church in Puerto Rico. They provide counseling, therapeutic ser-vices, small business development for disadvantaged communities, as well as programs at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School. These programs assist the many people struggling with insurmountable loss. Below you will see many of the services that will benefit from your generosity. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus for so many people still feeling the impact from this catastrophic event.

INVITE A FRIEND TO JOIN THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY! Have you had family or friends ask you about your Catholic faith? Or do you know someone who is seeking something deeper in their lives? Invite them to ex-

plore the Catholic faith through the Rite of Christian Initia-tion of Adults (RCIA). People who are unbaptized or who have been baptized in another faith but wish to become Catholic are invited to learn about the faith, encounter Je-sus Christ and His love in prayer and liturgical worship, and lead a life of discipleship supported by the faith com-munity. If you or someone you know is interested contact Shaughn Phillips at [email protected] or at 254-6233 to learn more about being initiated into the church. Inquiry sessions about Catholicism begin at the end of August.
