Middle MathematicsSkip countingUsing the 100s chartpractice counting up by 2, 5and 10.Colour in your 2s in pink.Colour in your 5s in yellow.Colour in your 10s in Blue.Can you count by anothernumber? Show this on your100s chart is anothercolour!3D shapes:Create a 6 sided die withthe cube template provided.This is what you can usewhen completing the ‘roll it,write it’ spelling words.

Can you write out howmany faces, vertices thiscube has?Do you know any other 3Dshapes and theirproperties? Write out theirnames and how manyfaces, vertices and edgeseach shape has.

MathematicsBefore and afterGet a deck of cards. If youdo not have any, cut up apiece of paper into squaresand write the numbers 1 to9. Flip one card over andsay the number that comesbefore and after thenumber on the card. If youfeel comfortable, pull outtwo cards to make atwo-digit number and saythe number before andafter. You can do this withthree digit-numbers aswell. Repeat this.Toy Ordering:Order 5 of your toys fromlongest to shortest.Measure the length of eachtoy using a block, paperclipor other small object. Using hefting(holding objects out in frontof you),

figure out which toy is theheaviest and which one isthe lightest. Order all 5toys from heaviest tolightest.Find 3 objects in yourhouse that are heavierthan the heaviest toy.Find 3 objects in yourhouse that are lighter thanthe lightest toy.Draw or photograph yourresults.
