VENUE INFO

Carnarvon Civic Centre has two small venues on the same block which also share an office with the visitor centre, which is all owned and operated by the council. Due to the nature of regional small theatre, most shows and events must be self-crewed as there is NO tech.

VENUE EQUIPMENT

Some of the equipment is share between the two buildings, the Woolshed has all the backline gear, which can also be use in the Camel Lane Theatre. Note moving the Grand Piano between the two venues requires a forklift (could have an extra fee). There are extra lights and audio gear that may be moved from the Woolshed to Camel Lane Theatre if it is required if no shows or events are going on at the same time.

LOCATION INFO

The venue is in the centre of the town on the main road with access to local supermarket within walking distance, as well as few pubs that do lunch meals and dinners, few coffees and take away shops close by too. Carnarvon is a coastal town situated approximately 900 kilometres north of Perth, Western Australia. It lies at the mouth of the Gascoyne River on the Indian Ocean, with a population of 5,000 people. Some of our town’s attractions are the Space and Technology Museum, One Mile Jetty Heritage Precinct, Gascoyne River, Tropical Fruit Plantations and a Fascine with picturesque sunsets over the river in town.
