From Our Deacon Candidate Many times after leaving Sunday Mass, we let the words
of the sermon take root in our lives. Every priest and
deacon tries, in his own way, to help in the salvation of
souls. Often, that’s most effectively accomplished by
crafting a sermon “with scripture in one hand and a
newspaper in the other hand”. By pointing out the
resonance and harmony among God’s word and our
daily lives, an effective homily stays with us for a while,
sometimes for years. We’re grateful to Fr. Gary, Fr.
Steve and Deacon Dennis for inspiring us by skillfully
proclaiming the word of God.
Likewise, the whole Roman Missal comes from the hard
work of generations of liturgical stewardship.
Sometimes, the Collect or another prayer during Mass
strike a chord in our heart. Last Sunday, the Prayer After
Communion turned on a little light inside me.
“O God, who have willed that we be partakers in the
one Bread and one Chalice, grant us, we pray, so to live
that, made one in Christ, we may joyfully bear fruit for
the salvation of the world.“
Our participation in the Holy Mass reveals priceless
treasure.
Shalom.

Has Something
Changed??
Have you
moved, or
changed your phone
number? Do you now use
online giving and would
rather not receive
envelopes anymore? Be
sure to call the Parish
Office at 926-2206 to let
us know about the
changes in your life so we
can update our records!
Thanks!
Below are just a couple of the CD titles available in our Lighthouse Media Collection:
Why is there Hell?
In this moving study on hell, Dr. Scott Hahn shares what scripture teaches about why hell is necessary. What it is like? Who goes there? How can you stay out forever? He explains why Lucifer refused to serve and then responds from a scriptural perspective to the most seductive modern errors about hell. Included are two bonus excerpts from Dr. Hahn's talk, The Healing Power of Confession.
Right Here, Right Now: Always Be Ready to Share Your Faith
It's profound to consider what hangs in the balance when we share our faith with others. Patrick Madrid, in his highly engaging manner, speaks from a lifetime of experience to help Catholics effectively share the truth about Christ and his Church whenever the opportunity arises. We kindly ask for a donation of $4.00 per book (or otherwise specified suggested donation), $3.00 per CD, $2.00 per booklet and $0.50 per pamphlet so that we may continue this program. Please make all checks out to “OLMM.” Won’t you reach out and help bring someone home?
Highlighting Our Advertisers Did you know that Kathleen Thomas, Financial Advisor, advertises on the back pages of our bulletin? Any business you give him benefits our parish in the publication of our bulletin. We thank
all of our advertisers.

Eucharistic Adoration Every Wednesday 9:30am - Thursday 6:30am
Come away awhile and rest. The heart of a parish is the Eucharist. A parish comes alive when it is centered on Jesus. What do you actually do during adoration? You may sign up to be an “adorer” which allows you to schedule yourself for one or more hours per week to pray before the very presence of Our Lord, exposed in the monstrance. It means that you can have some time alone with Jesus to pray or just sit and rest in His presence. Every hour you spend with Jesus will deepen His peace in your heart. Can you come and spend an hour with Jesus? “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
If you would like more information or to sign up for Eucharistic Adoration, please call Joan Langlois at
926-3673.
Intercessions for Life For all Catholics: May we be channels of God’s mercy by loving every person and celebrating the gift of his or her life We pray to the Lord.
