90% of wastewater in developing countries is discharged into rivers or streams without any treatment1. Add to that the Great Pacific Garbage Patch that stretches for hundreds of miles across the North Pacific Ocean2.

Almost 4 million people die each year from water related diseases. Overall lack of access to clean water and sanitation has claimed more lives through disease than any war through guns1.
