Buddhists also go on pilgrimages as a part of their religious practice, so that they will get a better life when reborn. Pilgrimages involve going on a long journey to sacred places.

Another practice is praying, Buddhists pray to their inner self. The Mahayana Buddhists pray to bodhisattvas for help. Some Buddhists would say their prayers in private. They would also pray after offerings. Some Buddhists use Mala when praying which means prayer beads.

Buddhists also call worship Puja, which means offerings. Worship is a big part of religious practice. Many worship in front of shrines and also join in Vihara to worship, and Vihara means monastery. Sometimes Buddhists worship while they meditate.

Dancing may also be a religious practice when they perform sacred dances and gestures.

There are symbols of worship like bells. Bells mark different levels in that worship they are in. Flowers mean that nothing in life would stay the same, and candles are a symbol of enlightenment.

Words are used as practices by reading passages from scriptures. Buddhists also chant a mantra to get to their inner selves. Many of these practices are used all over the world for Buddhists.
