A PRAYER FOR MEMORIAL DAY As we remember those
who have made the
ultimate sacrifice for the
freedoms we enjoy every
day, we think of how
they have followed in
the footsteps of your son,
our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Please hold our servicemen and women in your strong arms.
Cover them with your sheltering grace and your presence as they
stand in the gap for our protection.
We also remember the families of our troops. We ask for your
unique blessings to fill their homes, and we pray your peace,
provision, and strength will fill their lives.
May the members of our armed forces be supplied with courage
to face each day and may they trust in the Lord's mighty power
to accomplish each task. Let our military brothers and sisters
feel our love and support. Amen.
Join us for our Memorial Day Service this
Monday, May 28 at 9:00 AM in the Cemetery.
As we pray for all those who have served in the military, please keep
those that are currently deployed in your prayers as well.

Very soon you might be seeing another priest around the parish. A staff member from the Archdiocese contacted me last month and asked if St. Vincent de Paul would be willing to house an additional priest in our rectory. After some discussion we reached an agreement. So, Fr. Michael McClellan will be moving into the priest house
soon – probably in June.
Fr. McClellan was ordained in 2016 and will be serving as full-time chaplain to Providence Academy in Plymouth. Providence Academy has agreed to compensate us for his
room and board.
In addition to his duties at Providence Academy, Fr. McClellan will be assisting at other parishes on the weekend. So, you likely won’t be seeing him around here much. Even so, thank you for helping me to welcome him among us. Before long, I’m sure Fr. McClellan will come to see, as Fr. Baker and I
have, that there’s no place like home at St. Vincent’s!
The deadline for submissions
for the bulletin is Noon on Monday.

Have you ever wanted to be involved in a mission trip?
Has it always been too expensive, or too much planning, or too
far away?
We have a great opportunity that has all of the same aspects as
a mission trip, but we stay and serve in our own local community
of Minneapolis. It’s not just for 9th—12th graders, we are also
looking for adult leaders.
