  • 9YoUth SwIm LESSonSPrESChooL LESSonS turtles turtle class is the natural progression for children who have participated in the Parent/Child classes. It is time for them to leave their parent and become more independent in the water. it is also perfect for young children who are taking lessons for the first time.

Pike Pikes are still beginners but they are becoming increasingly more independent. they are between being dependent on an adult in the water and swimming in short bursts on their own.

Eel Eels are similar to Pikes. However, they have gained strength and endurance and can front paddle much farther with a more refined technique. They can perform all tasks with better skills and increased endurance.

rays Rays are becoming strong swimmers who are comfortable in a water environment. they can swim longer distances without floatation devices and are learning new stroke techniques.

Starfish Starfish are strong swimmers who will advance into the Guppy progressive swim lessons when they turn six years old. They are proficient at front and back paddle, elementary back-stroke, and they can tread water independently. they work on improving their endurance and technique.

ProGrESSIVE LESSonSPolliwog 1Polliwog 1 classes are for those children who have either had no experience in the water or very little. They need to learn basic swimming skills and boost their confidence in the water.

Polliwog 2Polliwog 2 classes are for beginner swimmers who are gaining confidence and have built up some endurance.

GuppyGuppies are gaining even more endurance and should not need to rely on a floatation device unless working on tech-nique drills. At this level, the swimmer becomes proficient at front and back paddle and breaststroke is introduced.

minnowMinnows are becoming strong swimmers. They are proficient in all strokes, other than the butterfly, and are perfecting their technique.

FishFish are proficient swimmers who want to improve their strength, endurance, and technique.

Flying FishFlying Fish are excellent swimmers who can swim all the strokes. They are continuing to perfect their technique, par-ticularly with the butterfly.

SharkSharks are excellent swimmers who are building their endur-ance to be able to become competitive swimmers.

PorpoisePorpoise swimmers are athletes and swim team ready.
