SUMMER GUIDE

CAMP SOKKIA Camp Sokkia is a traditional summer camp where kids play outside, swim, go on field trips and make new friends. The Camp is based at the Y, but takes weekly field trips to Fairview Park, Spittler Woods and Rock Springs. Other field trips include the St. Louis Zoo, local swimming pools, parks and so much more. Camp Sokkia is open to kids who are entering 1st grade through 9th grade. For more in-formation contact Keith at 872-3835 x 114. Once again, lunch will be provided.

4TH OF JULY The Decatur Family YMCA will be

closed on July 4th.

YMCA Triathlon Camp June 10– June 13 5-14 year olds: 2:30-4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 member $50 prospective member Discover the sport of triathlon, learn tech-niques & skills that will help you complete and compete in your next race

International Sports Camp July 22– July 26 6-10 year olds: 3-5 p.m. Cost: $30 member $50 prospective member Experience the sports played by youth in other countries led by people from those countries. A cultural and educational expe-rience through sport.

Swimmers with little or no experience

Must be able to float on their front and back and paddle stroke with breathing.

Must be able to swim 25 yards front and back crawl.

Must be able to swim 200 yards front and back crawl and breaststroke. Clas-

ses are designed to master and build endurance on breaststroke, butterfly

strokes and turns.

Must be able to swim 200 yards front and back crawl and breaststroke. Clas-

ses are designed to master and build endurance on breaststroke, butterfly

strokes and turns.

Swimmers with little or no experience
