Welcome to our Annual Bull Sale.

We have come a long way in the last fifty years, and as we keep selecting and culling in our program; our cattle seem to get more and more consistent. Our four main herd bulls have really complimented each other and our base cow herd has truly reached its potential. We are excited with what we have to offer you March 11. We have seen a slide in the cattle markets; but still the prices remain favorable. We have also seen an advantage in the Charolais calf. Their easy fleshing and converting ability has proven to cross well with different breeds to bring top profit. We hope you can come sale day. We enjoy visiting and providing hospitality to everyone. LANZA Turning into a legend, Lanza started off as bull that we purchased to clean up on our cowherd. He became one of our top herdsires. We purchased him in 2008 from WinnMan Charolais. Later, we sold an interest of him to Lindskov-Thiel Ranch in South Dakota. We have used him as our main heifer bull for the many years. You’ll note in this sale offering that the Lanza progeny offer a lot of performance. There’s not too many bulls that can offer calving ease and performance. Top that off with thick, curly hair, large scrotal and sound feet. The Lanza’s have a lot to offer. To date, we are very pleased with the Lanza daughters and they continue to impress us in the mothering department.

SKAggSWe purchased Skaggs in 2011 from Winn Man Charolais. He is a rugged, thick curly haired, strong topped bull with an outcross pedigree. His progeny continue to carry out the same level of performance; his sons are easy doing bulls with excellent muscle shape and good temperaments. This year marks Skaggs third year of females in production; the udder type and consistency in his females continues to impress us.

BLuE VALuEWe are really excited to offer our first calf crop of

Blue Values. We bought Canadian semen rights in Blue Value from Wright Charolais, Missouri and

have successfully used him on our heifers. The sons are easy to find with plenty of shape, hair, and all of them are polled. We were lucky enough to visit

Wright Charolais this fall and were incredibly impressed with his daughters in production and his

presence as a working, nine year old herd bull.

WIDOW MAKEROver the years we have had trouble finding a red

factor bull that would fit our program. We found Widowmaker on the end of Johnson Charolais’

Agribition show string, and were incredibly impressed with his performance, body shape and exceptional

hair coat. His sons are a clone of him, and we are really impressed with his easy doing ability and how quickly

he recovered after breeding season as a yearling bull.

TERMS:The terms of the sale are cash or cheque. Settlement to be made immediately after the completion of the sale, payable at par to

A. Sparrow Farms Ltd. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with

the clerk before any cattle will be released. All monies are in Canadian Funds. A. Sparrow Farms reserves the right to

in-herd semen use on all bulls sold through the sale.BIDDINg:

Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted.

DISPuTES:Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute.

If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s

decisions on all disputes will be final.ANNOuNCEMENTS:

All announcements made from the auction block or on the weigh sheets will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned

the buyer will be refunded their money and will be replaced with another bull. At the end of the season the bull will then be

returned to A. Sparrow Farms. Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on

females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen

(14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months of age to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is

given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.EXCEPTION guARANTEE:

In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale,

this guarantee shall be null and void.CERTIFICATE OF REgISTRATION:

Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be

furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.HEALTH:

All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements.LIABILITIES:

All persons attend the sale at their own risk and the seller and sale manager assume no liability, legal or otherwise,

for any accidents that occur.MAIL BIDS:

Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail theirbids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representative. Bids must be

received in sufficient time prior to the sale.DELIVERY:

Free delivery to Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta. Other destinations will be at shared cost.

INSuRANCE:Insurance will be available sale day. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value. A. Sparrow Farms will pay

2% of your insurance. All bulls left after the sale must be insured.
