Goal is to provide solution for Water Supply in LaPlace

Variables that have changed since study completed in 2006 on proposed water plant for east bank of St. John

Reverse osmosis membrane units installed at Woodland Drive New filters installed at Lions Plant New regulations from LDHH Hurricane Isaac exposed vulnerabilities

Proposed Conceptual Engineering Design for LaPlace water source includes six tasks

Water Committee recommended the proposed tasks

Introduction

Page 4: Agenda August 5, 2014 Introduction – Natalie Robottom Background and History – Rob Delaune

Task 1 – New Water Intake Pump Station on MS River in LaPlace

Task 2 – New Transmission Main from MS River to Reverse Osmosis Unit Site on Woodland Drive

Task 3 – Pre-treatment at Reverse Osmosis Unit Site on Woodland Drive

Task 4 – Modifications to the Lions Water Treatment Plant Task 5 – New Distribution Pump Station and Transmission

Main form Lions Plant to LaPlace Task 6 – Operation and Maintenance Costs to Maintain

Ruddock Well System vs. Cost to Decommission
