Breakthrough Collaborative brings together passionate under-graduates from all majors to teach our motivated middle-school students. Breakthrough students come from under-resourced schools, but dream of college. During our intensive summer sessions, they prepare to succeed in the most academically rigorous environments.
As a Breakthrough Teaching Fellow, you will receive extensive training, continuous support, and the opportunity to lead a classroom while contributing to a dynamic, diverse community. You will practice persistence, creativity, and flexibility in collaboration with others.
The Breakthrough Teaching Residency is one of the most rigorous and rewarding teaching experiences available to undergraduates in the U.S. Whether you have always dreamed of being in the classroom or are considering it for the first time, teaching at Breakthrough will help prepare you for a career in education while building skills that are transferable to any profession.

Breakthrough is designed to accommodate a DIVERSITY of Teaching Fellows. Interest in pursuing a career in education is not required, nor is any education coursework or experience. You do have to want to be with our students, WORK COLLABORATIVELY with your colleagues, and grow in an intense, fast-paced, NURTURING ENVIRONMENT.
