Dr. Cunningham met up with the members of the Ranger Rodeo team who were competing at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., in June 2015.

The President is a great supporter of everything Northwestern, from showing her Ranger Guns to welcoming students and families to Ranger Preview and Freshman Connection.

Dr. Janet Cunningham leads the Presidents Leadership Class. Here, the group visited the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial.

I am very pleased that you are considering Northwestern Oklahoma State University as your college choice. Each year, hundreds of high school seniors and college transfers like you make the decision to call Northwestern home.

As you research colleges and universities, you will find most of them have many similarities. Dig a little deeper and you will discover what makes Northwestern unique.

Our academic courses are taught by qualified faculty who are experts in their fields and skilled at teaching. You will develop strong relationships with them as they mentor you and offer assistance outside of the classroom. Your education is of paramount importance to us and so you will not find teaching assistants leading classes at Northwestern.

Northwestern offers convenience with three campuses serving northwest Oklahoma, online degree completion programs, and expanding opportunities at the University Center of Ponca City. In addition, there is no greater educational value than Northwestern. Our scholarship program is second to none with special incentive scholarships available at no other institution.

But what ultimately will convince you that Northwestern is the place to earn your degree are the people. Visit our campuses and you will be greeted with a smile and a hello almost any place you go. Once you decide to become a Ranger, you truly join a family.

Please use this viewbook to get an overview of our university. However, if you want the true Northwestern experience, schedule a campus visit today. I hope to see you on campus very soon.

    Janet Cunningham, Ed.D. President

We are the Ranger Nation -- where your future can be as bright as you want it to be, and you instantly become one of the family.Alva, a small town with a relaxed atmosphere in northwest Oklahoma, is home to our main campus where a traditional college experience is offered. Youll be able to live in university housing, eat in the cafeteria or Student Center Snack Bar, attend numerous campus activities, join clubs and organizations or go to athletic events. Our Enid and Woodward campus sites (see pages 14-15) offer students convenience when it may not be possible to travel to Alva for classes.Employment opportunities on- and off-campus are available to our students. Our classes are small, so youre able to get a quality education, get to know your professors and make friends more easily. The Student Center is the central hangout for most students between classes. Here, you can grab a quick bite to eat, visit with friends or watch TV, browse the Internet in the small computer lab, or purchase Ranger gear and supplies in the bookstore.

Oklahoma is amazing, but Northwesterns community/campus is the best place on earth. This university has an outstanding reputation of showing love and support to students even before they commit to becoming Rangers. Why? Because Northwestern does not simply just go through the motions. Northwestern takes every opportunity possible to give students the success they dream for. Being crowned Miss Northwestern is the highest honor I have ever received, simply because I was chosen to represent the thousands of successful individuals who love this place as much as I do. Ride, Rangers, Ride!

~ Chelsay Adams, Miss Northwestern 2015 2015 Graduate from Mooreland, Mass Communication
