Katie first came to the Kootenays to visit her sister in Fernie. Coming from Moncton, New

Brunswick, she quickly fell in love with the East Kootenay area With a desire to pursue a post-secondary education, Katie enrolled at the College and completed her Bachelor of Business Administration: Sustainable Business Practices in 2014 She found out there was much more to attending school in the Kootenays than just its beautiful location

I found an amazing community of friends from diverse cultures, and incredible instructors who taught us with respect and openness to our thoughts and ideas. I felt as though I was a peer, a respected future business woman and a friend.

Meet Josh...Josh was always fascinated by electricity so he decided to make it his career. He enrolled in the electrical pre-apprenticeship program at the College before deciding to continue on to the apprenticeship program. Throughout his training, Josh found work with a variety of companies performing residential and commercial building in the electrical trade before moving on to work in the Alberta Oil Sands. In 2014, Josh completed his fourth year of his apprenticeship training at the College.
