Students in our Carpentry program constructed this shelter for the Tea Spot, a popular hiking and biking trail in Kimberley.

Katie first came to the Kootenays to visit her sister in Fernie. Coming from Moncton, New Brunswick, she quickly fell in love with the East Kootenay area With a desire to pursue a post-secondary education, Katie enrolled at the College and completed her Bachelor of Business Administration: Sustainable Business Practices in 2014 She found out there was much more to attending school in the Kootenays than just its beautiful location

I found an amazing community of friends from diverse cultures, and incredible instructors who taught us with respect and openness to our thoughts and ideas. I felt as though I was a peer, a respected future business woman and a friend.

Haley completed her first two years of University Studies and then transferred to University of Lethbridge to complete her Bachelor of Science.

I had no problem getting full transfer credit at the University of Lethbridge for the courses I studied at College of the Rockies. I also found that I had a much better experience of first and second year science courses than other students who completed them at university, especially labs, because of the smaller class sizes and individual attention from instructors.
