The Main Activities

The main activities in the 36-month CentraLabworkplan include:

• A survey of the current potential for application of the CentraLab approach.

• A coordinated set of trans-national pilot projects that build partnerships.

• And co-design innovative approaches for ten issues of shared concern.

• A strategic governance work package that defines a framework for multi-level Memoranda of Understanding building up to a Central European-wide charter for the long term governance of the CentraLab network.

Summary of the Steps

1. Localise and identify your stakeholders

2. Establish a Living Lab PPP (Public Private Partnership)

3. Assess the relevance of „cross border“ issues

4. Deploy an ICT infrastructure

5. Establish a local and/or „cross border“ PPPP community (PPP+People)

6. Run one or more User Driven, Open Innovation pilots

7. Summarise and evaluate the results

Eco-Tourism Pilot

Pilot Concept and Approach

The Eco-tourism pilot is hosted by University of Maribor, Faculty of Organizational Sciences, within its Living Lab environment.

Eco-Tourism Pilot

Eco-tourism objectives of the pilot are:

• understand trends in the development of eco-tourism,

• development of tourism products & serviceswith the help of user involvement,

• use of modern technologies.

• Strengthen the supply of eco-tourism services.

• Extensive knowledge of products and services that are eco certificates.

• Identification of new tourism products and services in the region.

• Commitment to the implementation of environmentally friendly tourism activities.

Organisation

• Content of applications will be visualized and supported by geolocation, maps and multimedia materials.

• Applications will be available via the Internet, mobile phones and also through innovative printed map products.

• The portal will be used as a tool for Living Lab operation.
