W Working with our client’s on site Main Contractors we installed the laboratory furniture , fume cupboard and extract system for the

laboratory also a small Lossnay air recuperation system to balance the air input into the laboratory.

We supplied and installed a Kottermann Exploris 1800mm wide fume cupboard and extraction system complete with 90 minute fire rated flammable storage cupboards that are vented into the extract duct.

We installed a new PVC extract duct system for the fume cupboard that was bracketed up the side of the adjacent building with the discharge stack terminating 3m above the apex of the taller building.

Design of the laboratory layout with the client.

Supply and installation of the extract system for the laboratory fume cupboard, installed internally above the suspended ceiling, exiting the building to the fan which was mounted on a bracket in a position accessible for annual maintenance. The extract duct was installed using a motorised platform and safety harnesses.

Supply and installation of the Kottermann Exploris laboratory furniture and fume cupboard.

Supply and installation of a Lossnay heat recuperator unit, the internal unit was installed in the void above the suspended ceiling.

Project Description

We completed the internal laboratory plumbing and electrical supplies.

Supply and installation of hand wash sinks at the entrance to the laboratory.

Water supplies to the laboratory were tested and chlorinated to meet BS EN 806 (1-5) and BS 8558:20111

All electrical testing was carried out in accordance with BS7671 Seventeenth Edition IEE wiring regulations by our NICEIC approved electrical contractor.

After completion of the extract system the face velocity at the face of the fume cupboard was tested.

All waste was cleared from site and transfer provided.

As installed drawings and complete O & M Manual were submitted to the client.
