We provide a developmentally appropriate educational experience in a Christian setting that nourishes academic growth for children two years old through eighth grade. Cornerstone Christian strives to enrich each child’s life with a variety of activities in a safe and loving environment.

Beginning in preschool, students are challenged to think critically, analyze the world around them, and continue developing their relationships with Christ. As they progress through elementary and middle school, students refine these principles and learn how to be seekers of Biblical truth, explorers of academic knowledge, and outstanding citizens of character.

High quality teachers are one of the most empowering strengths at Cornerstone Christian Academy. We are committed to hiring outstanding teachers and administrative staff. All of our elementary through middle school teachers hold current state certifications, with specialties in English as a second language (ESL), gifted and talented, and special education.

The vibrant facilities at Cornerstone Christian include: bright classrooms, a fully networked campus, dedicated tablets/laptops per grade, a library with printed and electronic resources, a playground, a courtyard, prayer garden, cafeteria, and a complete gym for our athletic program. Located on the corner of Highway 59 and First Colony Boulevard, CCA offers families a convenient drop-off location.

Spiritual life is so vital to Cornerstone Christian that it is integrated into all of our programs.

Students receive religious instruction daily with worship times consisting of Bible songs, scriptures, and prayers. All aspects of teaching are from a Christian perspective, providing guidance for personal responsibility and friendship. Teachers model Christian principles as they lead children to know God and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Preschool is designed to teach students about God’s love for them in a simplistic and creative way utilizing daily chapel to bring the Bible to life. CCA encourages elementary students to begin developing a personal prayer life. Using different mediums to share the gospel message, lessons focus on God’s love, obedience, listening,

Spiritual Lifepraise, worship of the Savior, and common events children face daily. When students enter middle school, CCA targets helping students navigate the difficult path of adolescence. We highlight proper relationships with God, parents, teachers, and peers with attention given to individual needs. Middle school chapel is designed to challenge and engage each student’s heart and mind.

Bible is a required core subject for each grade. Preschool through eighth grade Bible classes are constructed to ground students in practical lessons in faith, discipleship, and Christian character. Additionally, our middle school retreat at the beginning of the school year and service learning trips during the year are an integral part of our mission, objectives, and core values. The outings are tailored to enhance social skills, build character, and develop teamwork. They are also excellent opportunities for students and faculty to share their faith, establish a close-knit community, and serve others.

Kindergarten readiness and the love of Jesus go hand-in-hand within our preschool approach, which follows curricula based on four facets of developments – spiritual, educational, social, and physical.

Our preschool program serves two-year-olds through four-year-olds. We offer two-day, three-day, and five-day options for our preschool program. Three- and four-year-olds attend outclasses in music, physical education, computer lab, Spanish language, and library as part of their weekly rotation. Hands-on learning experiences advance children to higher levels of language, thinking skills, and problem solving. Cornerstone Christian preschool teachers have years of experience allowing them to bring creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom.

Our elementary academic program reflects a strong commitment to Christian education while advancing a foundational curriculum focused on reading, writing, and mathematical basics.

Immersing students in the arts, science, social studies, Spanish language, and numerous opportunities for practical application enables students to translate what they are learning to the real world. Younger elementary students are loved and nurtured by their knowledgeable teachers, who understand the need for children to celebrate and enjoy childhood. As upper elementary students begin to spread their wings and reach for more independence, our professional educators cultivate and support the development of their critical thinking skills as students are encouraged to think more abstractly and question the world around them.

Our middle school department is comprised of vibrant and diverse sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. At this exciting age, middle school students begin to stretch their minds, accepting the challenge provided by teachers to think even more critically.

It is a top priority of Cornerstone Christian middle school teachers to inspire each student to achieve their academic potential, while developing an aptitude to successfully undertake a rigorous high school and college curriculum.

Equipping students with the knowledge to navigate a confusing secular world, while staying true to Biblical teachings, is the focus of their CCA experience.

A well-rounded education corresponds with the school’s vision and, therefore, Cornerstone Christian Academy offers studies outside traditional classes.

The arts environment at CCA is one that nurtures creativity, intellectual curiosity, and aesthetic understanding, as well as one that establishes a firm foundation in skills, content, and experience. Art, Band, Choir, and Theatre are included as electives to give students the opportunity to give a voice to thoughts and beliefs. Middle school students learn to use their voices and God-given talents through choir and band to perform at fall and spring shows, holiday concerts, and community functions.

A dynamic athletics program instills self-esteem, character, and discipline in our students. Our athletics program provides the opportunity for every student to experience the value and enjoyment of being part of a team.

Cornerstone Christian Academy is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and happy environment for the children before and after the school day.

After-school experiences extend and enrich our students’ educational experiences. Extended Care is available from 7:00 a.m. until the start of school and after school until 6:00 p.m.Homework is a priority for our elementary and middle school students. Our extended care employees provide an environment conducive to study. After homework is completed, children have supervised unstructured time to engage in arts and crafts, playground activities, and snack time. This serves as a time for students to enjoy each other socially. After-school enrichment activities are conveniently offered on campus at the end of the school day. These activities enable students to further explore their God-given interests and talents. We offer a well-rounded menu of after-school activities that include Martial Arts, Athletics, Speed & Agility, Theatre Arts, Graphic Arts, Studio Arts, Dance, Science, Chess, and Robotics. It is our goal to offer options for children with diverse interests and talents.
