Inadditiontotheuniversalturning-millinghead,acomprehensiveselectionofattachmentsforallrequiredmachiningmethodsarepartofthesystemtocompletethemachiningofcomplexcomponentsinonesinglesetup.Theauxiliaryheadsareautomaticallyexchangedduringthemanufacturing.

Theautomatictoolchangermovesonanindependentshuttlebehindthetravellingcolumn locatedat the rearof themachine. Itoperatessimultan-eouslyduringthemachiningprocesssothatthetoolchangecantakeplaceinanylongitudinaltravelposition.

The programs for the SIEMENS 840D control are either automaticallygeneratedbyWeinCAD®ormanuallyinputatthemachine.ThediagnosticprogramWMDS® incombinationwith theemulationsoftwareCHECKitB4®ensuresmaximumavailabilityandproductivity.
