Management Teachers Consortium-Global (MTC-Global) declares Dr. Arup Barman as a winner of MTC-Global Award for Management Teacher in Rural Areas for efforts to work for UNGC-Academic Guidelines Project by staying in remote area. The award will be conferred at MTC-Global Conference: Sankalp 2011 will be held on 27th August’2011 at FAPCII Hall, Hyderabad. His contributions are witnessed by his earlier achievements. He received scholarship offered by Global Development Network (GDN) and Centro de Implementación de Políticas Públicas para la Equidad yel Crecimienton (CIPPEC ), Argentina, “How to formulate a policy influence plan", to attend e-training program started May 2nd to 30th June , 2011 funded by DFID and DGIS for Capacity Building for Policy Development. Dr. Barman is a member of working group of ongoing (yr. 2010-2014) Academic Guidelines Project of United Nation Global Compact, UNO. Dr. Barman is a volunteer and supporter of UN-Academic Impact Project for the culture of sharing intellectual social responsibilities to colleges and universities of local areas. He was recognized as the an Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) in the year 2009 by AIMA, New Delhi and delivering services to management profession within the capacity of AMT through AIMA. He is a recipient of Post Doctoral Research Award-2009 from SAB, UGC, and India and completed his research work on July 30, 2011. He did his Ph.D in (2007), PGDip.TD (2002) and M.Com-1996; a Fellow of Indian Society for Business Management, Chennai; a Fellow of Hind Agri-Horticultural Society (Fellow AHS). He was a visiting Associate of Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla (India).
