ELECTIONS JUST AROUND
THE CORNER
Below are the positions up for
election at the December meeting,
and the members who have agreed
to run
Hello everyone,
Now that summer is over, it will soon be time to turn our clocks back (spring forward, fall back). What I really don't like is needing your headlights on at 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Now is the time to look closely at those old, fogged-up lenses. Are they scratched or cloudy? There are products to clean the lenses, or maybe just replacing the headlight assemblies is best. Many assemblies are available at discount internet parts houses, and fairly cheap. Nice, bright headlights make night driving much easier. See you soon.

NORTH HILLS HISTORIC AUTO CLUB MINUTES
October 13, 2013
After the Pledge of Allegiance, President Jan Smith asked if there were any additions or cor-
rections to the minutes of the September meeting. There were none. Ken Barker made a mo-
tion to accept the minutes, and Antoinette Quinn seconded. Jack Swaney read the Treasurer’s
Report. The club has a balance of $6,852.35 in the treasury. Mike Quinn made a motion to
accept the Treasurer’s Report, and Jennie Barker seconded.
Wellness Report Ed Sipp was in attendance and thanked everyone for their cards and prayers.
Pat O’Neill is home and healing after surgery. John Kaiser is home and doing well. Marlene
Rensi is doing well after open heart surgery. Roger Boff is also doing well after surgery. Bill
Artzberger was in the hospital four days with kidney stones, but is home and doing well now.
Nominating committee chair person, Jennie Barker reported that,
Jack Swaney agreed to serve another year as treasurer, and Bonnie
Smith agreed to another year as secretary. Lou Gamber accepted
the nomination for board of director.
President Jan Smith thanked everyone who helped in any way with
the picnic. He also talked about the possibility of holding next year’s
picnic at His Kids Christian School. Jan and Bonnie will take care of
making the arrangements.
The scavenger hunt was a great success with 12 cars and 27 people participating. It was a beautiful day for a drive.
There is still not a committee for the After Christmas Party.
There being no further business to discuss, Jennie Barker motioned to adjourn the meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
Bonnie Smith

SCAVENGER HUNT
Photos and story by Cathy Paine
We met at the Mars train station for the scavenger hunt. Jan and Bonnie were well prepared
for our arrival. The music set the atmosphere as Jan and Bonnie gave the participants direc-
tions and timed when they left. We had to follow the directions to find answers to the ques-
tions given to us. It was a beautiful day for a ride. The roads were well chosen. The directions
were easy to follow, but the questions to be answered were not always easy. The winners re-
ceived trophys. Third place winner was Phil Deaken. Second place went to Mike and Martha.
Ray and Donna, friends of Mary Jo, took first place. Dinner followed at Uncle Bobs. It was a lot
of fun. Thank you, Jan and Bonnie, for a wonderful outing!

Antoinette and Michael Quinn did a great job organizing members to
bring their cars for this special day for U. S. Veterans. Antique cars, a
live band, good food, and perfect weather all combined to make a
memorable event for everyone involved.
