Rustenburg – Altesaam 47 matriekleerlinge van die hoërskole Rustenburg en Grenswag, die Bergsig Akademie, Lebone II en ‘n oudleerling van die HTS Rustenburg het Vrydag, 23 Oktober 2015 die alpha-wiskunde eksamen te Bergsig Akademie afgelê.Anna Muller, ‘n onderwyseres van die stad wat dié vak buitemuurs aanbied, verduidelik addisionele wiskunde was voor 2006 een van die onderwysde-partement se vakke. Die departement het besluit om die aantal vakke te verminder en pogings om addisi-onele wiskunde te behou was onsuksesvol . ‘n Groep onderwysers het vergader en besluit om met ‘n soortgelyke vak voort te gaan en alpha-wiskunde is gebore. Anna is een van die onderwysers wat dié vak buitemuurs aanbied vir diegene wat rigtings soos ingenieurswese of aktuariële wetenskap wil gaan

studeer. “Alpha-wiskunde stel leerlinge in staat om ‘buite die boks’ te dink. Dit maak die sprong tussen skool en universiteit baie kleiner, want dit berei die leerlinge voor met die basiese kennis om die eerste paar maande te oorleef,” sê sy. Dit maak dat studente hulle ingenieurs- of aktuariële grade in die minimum tyd sal kan voltooi en spaar dus baie geld.Terugvoering van sowel universiteitstudente en –dosente (selfs van die bestuurswetenskappe) dui daarop dat voormalige alpha-wiskunde studente ‘n groot voorsprong bo ander studente het.Die vak word buite skoolure aangebied en die

Make a Determination in Terms of Section 14 of the MFMA in respect of a Portion of Erf 6707 Boitekong

Extension 6 (Itireleng Bagodi Social Club)Notice in terms of Section 79(18) of the Local Government Ordinance, No 17 of 1939, as well as Section 14 of the Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act (Act 56 of 2003) and its Regulations, including (but not limited to) the Supply Chain Management Policy of the Rustenburg Local Municipality.

It is the intention of the Rustenburg Local Municipality to consider availing a Portion of Erf 6707 Boitekong Extension 6 to Itireleng Bagodi Social Club.

Kindly be informed that the Rustenburg Local Municipality resolved at its Council meeting held on Tuesday, 30 June 2015 per item 236 as follows:

1. That the report on the request by Itireleng Bagodi Social Club to acquire a portion of Erf 6707 Boitekong Extension 6 for the NGO use, be noted

2. That it be declared that Erf 6707 Boitekong Extension 6 is not needed to provide the minimum level basic municipal services

3. That the intention to avail a portion of Erf 6707 Boitekong Extension 6 be advertised in terms of Section 79(18)(b) of the Local Ordinance, 17 of 1939

4. That Itireleng Bagodi Social Club be allocated a Portion of Erf 6707 Boitekong Extension 6, which is a maximum of 2 500m² each, subject to the following:

4.1 That Erf 6707 Boitekong Extension 6 be subdivided into two portions, in order for the smaller part to be zoned “Institutional” for the NGO (applicant be liable for all payments)

4.2 That the subdivided properties be registered at the Surveyor General prior to the approval/submission of the building plans

4.3 That the development parameters as stipulated in the Rustenburg Land Use Management Scheme 2005 be applicable

4.4 That a site development plan be submitted to the local authority for approval and be approved prior to the consideration of building plans and requirements with regard to building plans and site development plans met before the buildings may be occupied

4.5 That the building plans and/or relevant applications be submitted and approved prior to:

4.5.1 The commencement of any construction work (external/internal) or demolition of any buildings

4.5.2 Any change in the use of the building which causes a change in the class of occupancy

5. That a market-related valuation of the proposed area (2 500m²) be conducted.

Information regarding the said property will be available during office hours at the Office of the Director: Planning, Room 306, Missionary Mpheni House, cnr Nelson Mandela and Beyers Naudé Drives, Rustenburg.

The local community and other interested persons are invited to submit their comments, representations or objections in respect of the proposed development; and must do so in writing to the Municipal Manager, PO Box 16, Rustenburg 0300, to reach him on or before Monday, 30 November 2015.
