AUDIT AND RISK COMMITTEE MEMBERS Remuneration package: Members will be remunerated according to the tariffs approved by the Department of Higher Education and Training. The Term of Office of the Committee will be for a period of five (5) years.
Requirements: A BCom Degree/Honours in Finance, Accounting or Auditing C.A. (SA), CIA, CISA and related professional qualifications Relevant experience in Corporate Governance and Financial Management At least five (5) years executive experience gained in the field of accounting, auditing, and/or risk management, An understanding of Risk Management practices and internal financial controls Knowledge and understanding of and exposure to legislation, policies and standards such as PFMA and its
Regulations, GRAP and National Treasury Regulations and Guidelines and practice notes relevant to the Department of Higher Education and Training
Knowledge and understanding of the internal and external auditing processes An understanding of Information Technology Governance An understanding of the Governance processes within the Public Sector Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written) and Analytical Reasoning abilities Preference will be given to applicants with experience in serving on Audit Committees of Government
Departments
Key Responsibilities: The Audit Committee will, inter alia:
Oversee the integrity of integrated reporting Oversee the integrity of financial statements, accounting practices and the adequacy of internal controls Oversee the Internal Audit function Oversee the enterprise-wide risk management processes and Governance Assist the Principal, who is the Accounting Officer, in the effective execution of her responsibilities Assist the Council in the execution of its fiduciary duties Regulates and discharges all its responsibilities as contained in a charter, outlining the appropriate formal terms
of reference The Audit and Risk Committee will meet at least four (4) times a year

Díe motorskou is al vir die afgelope paar jaar ‘n hoogtepunt op die Rustenburgse kalender.Motor entoesiaste van regoor die land sal die jaarlikse pelgrimstog meemaak na Hyundai in Augrabies Laan, Rustenburg, en dit sal omstreeks 08h00 begin. Ou klassieke, vintage en selfs nuwe spogmotors sal die dag op skou wees. Kom kyk gerus en kom klets lekker saam met veteraan motorversamelaars – soos wat die Goue Oues Ere-President, Phillip de Villiers, spelerig aan die Platinum Weekly verduidelik het, “Dis nie soveel ‘n stokperdjie as wat dit ‘n vreeslike

Ek het die ‘motor’ aangekoop in ‘n paar bokse en stukke in Vaalwater.” Alec se seun, Danie Brough, is ‘n spesialis restoureerder en vervaardig (rol) self meganiese masjienparte en bakpanele wat nie meer beskikbaar is nie. doen al Alec se restourasie werk.
