World AIDS Day
This year we commemorate the
26th annual observance of
World AIDS Day
Focus, Partner, Achieve
an AIDS-Free Generation
World AIDS Day brings together people from around the world to raise
awareness about HIV/AIDS and to demonstrate international solidarity in the
face of the ongoing pandemic.
Honoring the day provides an opportunity for all of us to spread awareness
about HIV/AIDS and encourage progress in HIV/AIDS research, prevention,
care and treatment globally.
World AIDS Day offers each of us the opportunity to show support for people
living with HIV/AIDS by remembering our loved ones living with HIV and
honoring those who have died.
We must renew our commitment to combat HIV/AIDS through compassion
and education to attain an AIDS – Free Generation.
World AIDS Day
What can I do ?
New classes of HIV medicines help millions of
HIV+ people to attain the highest possible quality
of life every day. While these medical advances
hold bright promise, we must act individually in
our communities to fight HIV/AIDS. Each of us
holds great influence in shaping our common
future.
To commemorate the 26th World AIDS Day and to
honor people living with HIV and those who have
died, we ask that you focus and partner to fight
against HIV/AIDS, to achieve together
an ”AIDS-Free Generation” .
This World AIDS Day PY1 asks you to act:
Take an HIV Test,
Volunteer at your local AIDS Service Organization,
Lend your support to a HIV+ friend,
Talk with your kids, friends and colleagues about
HIV/AIDS,
Reach out to your community of faith,
Distribute Condoms and
HIV educational materials in your community,
Use social media networks to heighten
HIV/AIDS Awareness.
PY1 asks you to act
Protect Yourself1
Only by investing in young
people,
through a vigorous response
to all aspects of the HIV and AIDS
situation, we will achieve
the dream of an
“AIDS-Free Generation”.

#GivingTuesday
On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and
students around the world will come together for one common purpose:
to celebrate generosity and to give.
It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or
your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can
about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration
of a new tradition of generosity.
We have a day for giving thanks.
We have two for getting deals. Now,
we have #GivingTuesday, a global day
dedicated to giving back.
