IMAGE / DIRECT MODE OF ADDRESS My front cover image is taken in direct mode of address. This means that my model is looking directly down the camera lens giving the effect that they are looking at the consumer. This makes the audience feel more enticed into the magazine and also creates a personal relationship with the reader. This means that they are attracted to the magazine as a relationship has been created.

I have also used the colour red for the clothing that the model is wearing as this is consistent with the branding but also is a bright colour that is easily visible and attractive. In addition to this ‘Stormzy” one of the most popular

ESTABLISHED ARTISTSI have used established artists to be featured in interviews and articles on my front cover on 3 occasions. This will attract the audience as it means that they will recognize these names and want to read the magazine to learn more about them. This will attract not only people who are general fans of the genre and know these artists but also people who are major fans of the artist and want to know as much as possible about them.

ENTICEMENTSI have a number of enticements on my front cover to attract the audience. The first of which shows that there is interviews in the magazine that are not available anywhere else meaning that people would be more likely to choose my magazine over others as they get something that wont be in the other magazines. The other enticement is a discount code for Spotify. This will be very relevant to my target psychographic as I am mainly targeting younger people who are likely to use a smartphone and stream music with services like Spotify. Also this service is quite pricey so many people especially in my psychographic would value a discount for this.

PRICE - £4.99To attract my audience I have priced my magazine in line with or below the price of other similar magazines that are bases around the same genres or artists. This will mean that people will buy my magazine as it is not over priced and fits in well and is maybe even more slightly attractive to buy than others on the market.

For example XXL Magazine’s latest issue can be Found for £5.45 online.

I have also included an option to buy the magazine for a reduced price when subscribing to every issue of the magazine. The price goes down to £3 per issue.

LEXICON OF WORDS Before writing my article and deciding on my sidebars and cover lines I planned my lexicon of words to ensure I used words that are relevant to the genre and that would correctly address people who are interested in the genre of music.

COPY ON DPS My copy addresses the audience by using an appropriate lexicon of words and featuring an article and interview that are relevant to the target audience. The copy first describes the life and progress of an up coming artist and the interview then asks him about ambitions and motives for what he does. It also features comments from very famous artists who will attract their fans to read the magazine.

IMAGE ON DPS The image on my double page spread features a high end car behind the artist. This will not only attract the target audience as it is a visually attractive car but will also address them as they will be able to relate to the want for such items as they are striving for such luxuries just as the artist has been.
