• Last Year’s PAS 2015 figures:

• 151,000 trade visitors and 200,000 general public visitors

• 2,303 exhibitors from 48 countries and 285 official delegations

• 4259 accredited journalists

• US$69 billion worth of orders announced

• Objectives of Canada’s participation:

• Assisting firms in maximizing opportunities in major aerospace platforms and defence

procurement programs

• Attracting and retaining foreign direct investment

• Communicating the Government’s industrial policy goals.

• To achieve these objectives, Industry Canada leads a series of initiatives, including the

organisation of:

• Senior-level programs

• the Canadian Pavilion (where most Canadian companies exhibit)

• the Showcase Canada portion of the Pavilion (which is used to promote Canada as a

global aerospace leader and to highlight Canada’s capabilities)

• a Canada Business Centre (which serves as a venue for meetings and networking

events)

• and business-to-business meetings and various targeted networking events
