Vision Statement Formed by the Word of God, nourished at the Eucharistic table, led by the Holy Spirit, and sustained by the community, we, the parishioners of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, are and will continue to be a source of hope and direction to all who are in need of the love and mercy of Christ. We will be an example of compassion and mercy, hospitality, and inclusiveness. All who come through our doors will experience welcome, warmth, harmony and belonging and know that they are “home.”

PASTOR’S CORNER
Once again, I would like to express my appreciation to all who helped make the Festival a great event! So many people came together to meet several challenges such as the weather and then making sure the grounds were as usable as possible and stepping up when Paul Ringel experienced major surgery and now continues in chemotherapy and radiation treatments! The Saint Cecilia Community is second to no other in their generosity and coming together.

HELP REQUESTED“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
– Matthew 19:14Do you love children? Are you hungry for a way to serve in our parish? Have you been searching for a way to give back to others, to lighten someone’s load, to make another woman’s life just a little bit easier? Walking With Purpose is a women’s Catholic Bible Study offered in our parish on Thursdays at 9:15 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. We are seeking to build our Child Care Coordinator Ministry to make our program more accessible to mothers at home with young children for our morning sessions. We are praying for a few people to serve once a week in our nursery. The Child Care Coordinator helps with setup and cleanup, Bible story time, snacks, and indoor play. This beautiful opportunity will allow the mothers of our parish the time to receive the love and care they so very much need given to them through the written Word of Christ and the fellowship of other women in our parish. Your YES to this role will be the answer to a mother’s prayer! All that is needed is an outpouring of love for children and the desire to build up God’s Kingdom by serving the ones who belong to heaven.Perfect for older moms who miss holding their babies, homeschooled teens and college-age young adults looking for service hours, or the seasoned mother who can recall those “in the trenches” years and would love to reach out and help! Protecting God’s Children, fingerprinting and background checks are required. For moreinformation, please email Sharon Reinhard at [email protected].

Catholic Conversations Presents Deyra Little, author of From Islam to Christ on Sunday, September 9, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sports on Tap 4030 Main Street Hilliard, OH 43026. Born and raised in Muslim Turkey, Derya wandered far and wide in search of her true home. After her parents’ divorce, she rejected her family’s Islamic faith and became an atheist. During her stormy adolescence, she tried to convince a Christian missionary that there is no God but was converted to Christ instead. Derya’s compelling story provides a window into both Islam and modernity. C.C. is hosted by St. Margaret of Cortona Parish and we invite you to join us as we learn about one woman’s conversion. There is no fee to attend; you simply pay for what you order. Registration is preferred to guarantee your seat. Please register online through EventBrite.com and search for Catholic Conversations or by email to Julie Naporano at [email protected] OR to Nancy Whetstone at [email protected].
