(Ingles) Viernes: 11:00 a.m.

XVII Sunday in Ordinary Time: What if God came to you in a dream and said, “Ask anything of me and I will give it to you”? What would you ask for? Health for yourself or a loved one? More money or prestige? When King Solomon is presented with this opportunity, he demonstrates a

true spirit of stewardship. Before making his request, Solomon acknowledges the blessings he has already received and rather than asking for something that would benefit himself, he asks for an under-standing heart that would allow him to rule with wisdom. Solomon requests a gift that will allow him to promote the good of others. In response, God gives Solomon wisdom and understanding in abun-dance — more than anyone ever has or ever will have again. God loves a humble and grateful heart; a heart that surrenders to his lov-ing will. While it would be tempting to ask God for more temporal and self-serving things, let us remember that our stewardship is meant to serve God and His Kingdom.

Word Of Life Quote- “Because of our belief and hope in the Resurrec-tion, we can face death not with fear, but with preparation…. We prepare for eternal life by choosing to love and follow God now, in our daily lives and decisions.” -- United States Conference of Catholic Bishops “Married Love and the Gift of Life” COVID-19 Relief- Catholic Charities staff members want to help if you are in need as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
