LIVE THE LITURGY -
INSPIRATION FOR THE WEEK We are called to be missionaries! Jesus said to his disciples: "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature." Proclaiming the Gospel means looking out at my brothers and sis-ters and choosing to walk with them on their journey of life. It means having a listening, loving presence that allows the Holy Spirit to work in and through us. In this way we can show them-not only in speech, but in action-the difference a relationship with God and a life of faith really makes. Even though Jesus has as-cended to the Father, he still remains with us helping us proclaim the mission of the Gospel. Are we willing to allow him to do so?

Mother's Day Blessing
Many say that the family is under attack and we need to focus more intently
on family values. One thing we may all agree on is the centrality of the
figure of the mother in all families. It is that primary and central role of
mother that draws family together. In many homes, the mother is the glue
that binds all families together. As we celebrate the tradition of Mother's
Day, let us pray for our mothers, both living and deceased.
Let us pray... Good and gracious God,
creator of all good things in the universe,
your Son, Jesus Christ, loved his Mother
and modeled for us how we should love our mothers.
Bless all the women in our lives
who model for us the love of a mother.
Protect them and encourage them
to love as you have loved us.
Bless and protect those men in families
who have no female partners
and give them courage and strength
to love their children in the absence of a mother.
We ask all this in your name. Amen.

TLA (To Live Again) TLA is a bereavement support group that meets on Monday evenings, at 7:00pm, at
Resurrection School. It’s not a structured process, so you can come when you can, and, you can come when you’re ready, whether that’s two days, or two years, after your spouse has passed. No one knows how you feel better than someone who has been there. God often works
through others to heal us. Come, and find comfort in the sharing. For more info, please call St. Mary parishioner, Bob Tell, (856) 424-4847 & leave a message. He’ll get
right back to you.
Join us for our “First Saturday Devotion” Every first Saturday of the month, beginning with Mass at 8:00am followed by Eucharistic Adoration and ending with Benediction around 9:30am. Confessions
available at 8:30am. The Mass will be offered for ALL VOCATIONS (Married, Single, Priestly/Diaconate & Religious Life Vocations). Please join us!

HELP US KEEP OUR GRADUATION
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
CONNECTED TO THE
CATHOLIC CHURCH.
Presenting: The Newman Connection
High School Outreach Program
Dear Parents of High School Graduates,
The Newman Center (Connection) would like to stay in contact with your high school graduate while he/she is at college. Many of our high school students can easily “fall away” from their Catholic faith during their college years. The Diocese of Camden & the Newman Connection wants to change that! The Newman Connection is a non-profit organization that works with Catholic Campus Ministries. They use a referral system of connecting graduating high school students to their Catholic campus ministry. This allows campus ministers to contact their incoming students, inviting them to events or Mass before they arrive on campus. If you would like the Newman Connection to reach out to your graduating high school student this upcoming fall, please contact Sharon at (our) St. Mary Parish Center with your graduating student’s name, email address and name of campus/college that they will be attending at [email protected] or (856) 424-1454.
National Day of Prayer Thank you!
Many thanks & appreciation to all of those who helped make the National Day of Prayer a great success since 2001! Thank you also, thank you to all that came out to
participate. -Agnes Rufo, G.I.F.T. ministry

PARISH INFORMATION
Unlike most diocesan-wide campaigns of this nature, the Catholic Strong campaign returns 70% of the funds raised directly back to St. Mary. Bishop Dennis Sullivan has seen first-hand the great work being done in the parishes. Catholic Strong was designed to support the development of needed initiatives that help our local Catholic communities continue to grow, strengthen and welcome new members into their parishes. As you consider a gift to this campaign, and perhaps even more importantly, as you discuss it with your family and friends, re-member that this campaign is for you and your parish. To learn more about the Catholic Strong campaign, please call the Parish Center at (856) 424-1454 or email us at [email protected] or go to southjerseycatholicstrong.org.
Opening (Collect) prayer: Sunday, May 19th/20th
Almighty ever-living God, who willed the Pas-chal Mystery to be encompassed as a sign in fifty days, grant that from out of the scattered nations the confusion of many tongues may be gathered by heavenly grace into one great confession of your name. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
