Book icons – Templates

Filled Book icon – Template created in New NPOWER

Light colored Book icon – Template that was created in NPOWER Classic

Filled Spreadsheet icon – Report created in New NPOWER

Light colored Spreadsheet icon – Report that was created in NPOWER Classic

ID – View Unique Report / Template ID

Edit/View Report / Template

Share icon. If dots are filled in , it means it is SHARED.

Trash icon - delete

Favorite – toggle to save have Report / Template as Favorite

Menu (3 Vertical Ellipsis) icon – opens a menu of options

Rename “I” icon – To Rename a Data Bubbles

Grab icon ( two rows of stacked dots). Custom sort order of Data Bubbles.

Click and drag to preference order.

List View (Hamburger) Icon- Display Reports/Templates in a List format

Grid View Icon- Display Reports/Templates in a Grid format (default View)

Selection Menu – Toggle to view Report or Templates, and filter based off of

Report Type, Status, or Date

Excel icon – Download to Excel format

Zip icon – Download to Zip file format

Open Report As

Edit (Pencil) icon – To create a program Custom Daypart

3. Home page – Landing Page is now Content Manager

Required Selections / Optional or has defaults1. Red Bar – Required fields

2. Gray boxes – Required fields and still need to make selection

3. Green boxes – Optional fields or has Defaults already selected.

Data Bubbles / Chip example1. Data Bubbles – Folder in NPOWER Classic example, Income 40K or DVR HHLD

2. Chip – Selections in a Bubble – example, HHD Income=$40,000 and DVR Household = YES



4. Options – Click on your initials on top right corner to see menu of preferences

5. Help – Question mark icon on top right. Available in future release. It will launch

NPOWER Classic Help



6. Report / Template (folders) – Click on All Report or Selection Menu icon, you will

see all NPOWER report types.

Click on report such as Ratings Analysis to see Program Report and Time Period

Report

Multiple ways to open to start building your report:

1. Double click on the report type name. Example, double click on Ratings

Analysis Program Report

2. Click + New Report box

3. Below list existing reports you can open to modify by double clicking on the

report name.



7. Shared Reports/Templates –

1. Click on All Reports or Selection Menu icon

2. Toggle to right – SHARE (All Reports changes to Shared Reports)

3. Select either REPORTS or TEMPLATES

4. Share Reports/Templates below

8. Refresh – New NPOWER automatically Refresh occurs every 15 seconds. No

need to click but option to Refresh is still available.



9. NEW button – There are still multiple ways to Open a new report. See Page 4 of

this document. One way that is similar to NEW button is the + New Report on

Favorite Bar.

1. Click on New Report

2. Click on Drop down arrow

3. Select Report



10. OPEN button – 3 options to open existing Report / Templates

1. Select either Report or Templates. Default is Report as illustrated below

2. Option 1 - Click on Report Name

3. Option 2 - Hover over Report name and Click Edit/View icon on right side of

the screen

4. Option 3 - Hover over Report name and click on Menu (3 Vertical ellipsis)

11. DELETE button – 2 options to Delete existing Reports / Templates

1. Select either Report or Templates. Default is Report as illustrated below

2. Hover over Report name and Click trash can icon on right side of the screen

3. Hover over Report name and Click on Vertical 3 ellipsis icon to see menu



12. Search –

1. Type Report /Template name or description in the box (defaults to searching

for Reports)

2. Click on the magnify glass icon

3. Reports will be listed below

4. Note Report (Spreadsheet) icon

5. To Search for Templates click on All Reports or Selection Menu icon

(could have done this first before Step #2 – before clicking on Magnify glass

icon )

6. Click on Templates

7. Note after changing to Templates, All Reports changes to All Templates

8. Templates will be listed below

9. Note Template (Book) icon

NEW SEARCH FEATURE

10. Search by Status

11. Search by date range you created the report

12. Clear Search icon



13. Clear – Clear search results

14. Job Specifications - new verbiage, Templates

1. Type Template name in the box To Search for Templates

2. Click on All Reports or Selection Menu icon

3. Click on Templates

4. Note after changing to Templates, All Reports changes to All Templates


6. Templates will be listed below

15. Jobs – new verbiage, Reports

1. Type Report name or description (defaults to searching for Reports)


3. Reports will be listed below

16. Open Spec As.. – now rename to Open Report As. Transfer a Report / Template

specs to a new template

1. On Content Manager Page

2. On row of the Report /Template you wish to transfer specs

3. Click on Open Report As icon

4. Pop-up dialog box will appear

5. Select new Report Type

6. Select the specific Report Template (example below is from a Program to

Time Period)



17. Save Execution(s) to disk– now a Zip icon will appear if you highlight a multiple

completed reports.

1. On Content Manager Page

2. Highlight multiple completed reports you would like to download as a zip file

using shift or control keys.

3. Click on Zip icon

21. Shared?

1. Click on Selection Menu

2. Select either Report or Template you want Shared

3. Hover over Report Name Click on Share Icon. Dots should be filled in,

this means it is SHARED

1. Open a blank report

2. Name your report

3. Select your Report Type

4. Sample – defaults to National. Click drop down for other options

27. Season – how to select a whole season. There are multiple ways but the

easiest way

1. Select your Calendar Type

2. Yearly View icon

3. Click year on Year column- will highlight the all the months

4. Click Apply Selection

5. Will see the season bubble

1. Measurement Interval page

2. click Data icon

3. The End Date is now a link and when selected, it takes you to that date

within the calendar itself.

28. Quarter

1. Select Calendar Type

2. Select Year either the right side season year drop down or season year bar

above the calendar

3. Select Quarter

4. Quarter will be in Green

5. Select first date of the quarter, hold down shift key, select last date of quarter

6. Apply Selection

7. Quarter will be in the Selected

1. Click Options icon

2. Pop-up of Exclusions and Averaging options



30. Trash icon (Current Selection)

1. Click on selection you want to remove

2. Click on Trash icon to remove just the highlighted selection

3. Note – to remove ALL item in your Selection, just click on the CLEAR icon

31. Add icon to Selected

1. Click on selection you want

2. Click on APPLY SELECTION button to add to Selection

32. Reset icon (Clear highlighted items)

1. Click on RESET button

2. Click on APPLY SELECTION button to add to Selection



33. Retain Combo Parts / Multiple Reports

1. Click on OPTIONS or the ellipse icon

2. Slide bar to right to select

34. Schedule Report

1. Click on Schedule Report (alarm clock) icon

2. Pop-up box with options on frequency, data release and To Date



35. Groups

1. Apply Selection of items you want to create in a Group/List

2. Highlight all Data Bubbles you want to include in GROUP/List

3. Click GROUP or GROUP icon

4. Dialog box will appear, name your Group/List

5. Click Save

6. You will see a message that it has been saved successfully

To use a Group/List you previously created

1. Default view of Selected - nothing is in the Selected area

2. Click on Save List

3. Highlight your Group/List

4. Click Ellipsis button

5. Click Add Selection

6. You will now see items in your Group/list in the Selected area

9. Name your custom daypart

10. Click SAVE and message that it has been save will appear

3. Dialog box will show Program Indicators and Telecast Feed Pattern options

3. Click on COLUMNS button

4. Dialog box will show Program detail options. Maximum 6 selections

43. Optional Person / Segmentation / Custom Characteristics

1. Characteristics Type drop down to view the Segmentation and Custom Tab.

Note: For MRI Fusion - must select Gender first (NOT Household.)

44. Combine and Boolean Operators

1. Add to 2 or more items to selected area

2. Highlight the 2 Bubbles you want to Combine (i.e.. Some College & Clerical)

3. Click on the COMBINE icon (tip –using Options, you can Retain Combo

Parts as the example used below.)

4. You will then see the COMBINE bubble of the two items

5. Highlight the 2 chips in the Combined Bubble to change from “OR” to “AND”

6. Click on AND &.

Option 2- You can click on the Boolean operator in the Bubble to change.

Option 3-click the Menu (3 Vertical Ellipsis) icon of the Combined bubble will

allow you to change Boolean operators.
