PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:

Welcome back to Term 2! This term we welcome Mrs Nadine Wilkin who will replace Mrs Johnson who is on leave until Term 3.

Well done to all students who participated in the Youth Week Activities during the last week of Term 2. Our fantastic teachers organised several activities and spent time outside of school hours supervising.

Ms Loud and Ms Brown organised the Cross Country which was a fantastic afternoon. A large percentage of students participated which is a credit to them. Many thanks to the P&C, led by Brooke Phillips for the catering. It was also great to see the parent support on the day.

Congratulations to Sydney, Mackenzie, Blake and Ben who represented YCS at the Bathurst Show. Fantastic results showing our cattle were achieved. Many thanks to Mr Horley who organised and supervised the 3-night excursion and to our many parents and students who visited the team in Bathurst.

Congratulations to Erin Zell who was our lucky winner in the draw for those who paid fees on time. Fees are now overdue, if you could please organise to pay via our online facility or cash/cheque at the office, it would be appreciated. Please contact me if you require financial assistance, this will remain a confidential conversation.

Well done to all students who participated in the Yeoval Show. Well done to our secondary students who assisted with the Horse Stewarding: Keri, Blake, Maddie, Kaitlyn, Ben, Bella, Taylee, Colt and Skye.

On Monday, our school was represented by forty five students who marched on Anzac Day. It was humbling to see so many of our families represented. Thank you also to our drummers: Keri, Brian, Logan, Jake, Tim, Colt and Will.

Yesterday, our staff attended a ‘Building Connections to Wellbeing’

Conference in Dubbo. We learnt about having a mentally healthy school and the different agencies that are able to support students and families. Nicole Bliss Principal

CROSS COUNTRY

On Wednesday, 6th April, Yeoval Central School enjoyed the annual Cross Country carnival. The weather conditions were perfect, not too hot and not too cold. After a brief house meeting, all students (K through to 12) headed down to the golf course to commence the run. The walk proved to be a good warm up for the students and they each worked up their appetites. Thanks to the P & C, the students enjoyed a hot dog or two before heading off to each of their starting points.

I would like to congratulate all students on their fine efforts on the day. All raced extremely well with some even achieving a personal best! Well done to all!

Special thanks must be given to the P & C for the delicious food provided in the pop up canteen. Thank you also to Mr Olsson for all of his help in the setting up of the course as well as Miss Loud for her organisation of the day. Miss Katrina Brown RESULTS ON NEXT PAGE.
