What a fantastic night Friday's graduation was! It is always fantastic to celebrate in the
success of our students with their families and staff. All photographs will be loaded on to the
Western Access Program Facebook page. Please feel free to share. I would like to take the
opportunity to thank a few people:

support and present awards.

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:
We had a wonderful night celebrating
the Western Access Program Year 12
Graduation Dinner on Friday. Thanks
to Mrs Stanford and Mrs Westcott from
WAP who organised a very important
milestone for our thirty-two students.
Hannah and Alison celebrated with
their peers and received the following
awards:
Certificate of Achievement for
Community and Family Studies – Alison
Certificate of Achievement for
Mathematics General 1 – Alison
Certificate of Excellence for Visual
Design – Hannah
Our graduating class of 2017 have done
their families and YCS proud. I thank Mr
Horley, Mrs Johnson and Mrs Bates as
WAP Course Coordinators this year and
Mrs Behan who attended.
A big week for YCS with the BIG GIG
performance tonight in Yeoval at 7pm
and Trundle tomorrow night. I look
forward to seeing our students perform
and thank Mrs Tremain, Mr Peter
Tremain, Mrs Blatch, Mrs Johnson, Ms
Loud, Ms Lorimer and Mr Thorne for a
wonderful team effort in script writing,
choreography, back stage, production,
music and supervision.
I hope our school community enjoys
the holiday break, school resumes for
all staff and students on Monday
October 9.

On Wednesday 6 September. We spent a lovely day with our friends from St Columba’s and Cumnock Public School, to enjoy the 3-Way Athletics Carnival.
It was pleasing to see students participating in as many events as possible, with some receiving ribbons for their efforts. It was encouraging to also see the positive interactions between each school.
A big thank you to Mr Brown and his crew for their fabulous organisation. Thanks to the teachers and SLSO’s who helped on the day and to the parents that came along to support.
