    Peer Assessments (https://class.coursera.org/basicwriting-004/human_grading/) / Unit 3 > Unit 3: Writing Assignment

    Peer Grading

Your writing assignment for this module will include a peer review.

After submitting your work, you will get the opportunity to review the work of approximately five of your peers. Your own

work will also be assessed by your peers, from which we'll get your grade. Since you've worked hard on your sentences

and would like your peers to do a good job of assessing your work, please take your time and do a good job of assessing

your peers' sentences in return. Remember that, in peer reviews, points are awarded for attempting the assignment. Do

not deduct points unless no effort was made to complete the assignment.

    Assignment

Drawing from your observation notes and sentences from Journal Writing Assignments 1 and 2, write a paragraph

description of the scene you have observed. Use action verbs and active voice in your sentences. Also, keep your verbs

in the same tense and maintain correct subject-verb agreement. Your description should consist of 8 or more sentences.

Submission deadline (your work): July 7th by 9:00 a.m. PST

Evaluation deadline (peer review): July 14th by 9:00 a.m. PST
