Most importantly, I will remember what Roger Tom said to the guys after the game. Sitting around tables and eating pepperoni pizza, I listened as Roger let these young men know why he gives his time and his energy to coach two different teams. What he told them is a lesson that we could all stand to learn…. “This season I talked about defense, boxing out, and different plays because I wanted you to be successful on the court. But guys, what I really want is for you to be successful in life. I want you to take seriously your faith journey and your walk with Jesus. I wanted us to have a good season on the court, but I really want you to be successful in life.” I want to say thank you to Roger, David Giles, Josh Pinson, Les Powell and the countless other men and women who take the time to coach our young men and women. The gift you give to our kids is remarkable. You give your energy. You show them what positivity looks like in action. But most importantly, you give them the love of Jesus Christ. Today, I give thanks to God for each one of you. Grace and Peace, Will
