Things to think about
▪ What do you want others to DO with your information?
▪ What do you want others to KNOW?
▪ What do you want the other person to REMEMBER?
▪ How do you spark another person’s CURIOUSITY?
Basics
▪ There is not one structure that fits all
▪ Make sure the audience understands what you are talking about and how they might help you
▪ Think about how you might benefit an employer
Hello. I am Dean Waggenspack. I spent 30 years with NCR in finance, marketing, communications and customer support, until they decided to move to Atlanta.I am a strategic thinker, analytical and hard working. Currently, I own my own business as a Career/Life Coach. I work with people in transition as well as those people who are employed but are looking to decide “what’s next?”. One thing unique about me is I am trying to run a half marathon or marathon in as many states as I can. Thank you, again, my name is Dean Waggenspack

Yep, it’s unique. Perhaps memorable. But does it have anything to do with
business?
Let’s Try Again
Hello. My name is Dean Waggenspack. I am a Career/Life Coach. I work with people in transition as well as those people who are employed
but are looking to decide “what’s next?” for me. We work together
to create a career plan utilizing “AHA Momentum”.
Think about the three letters in that word “AHA”. The first “A” is for
awareness. Working together, we discover more about the individual’s strengths and what is important to them. The “H” is for
Honesty. Some people find that a coach helps them be more honest
with themselves. The last letter, “A” is for “Accountability”. Some people like having another person to be accountable with for completing a career plan. That’s AHA Momentum. My name is Dean Waggenspack
You DON’T get to say this
▪ “I don’t like to brag”– It’s not a Brag = “To Boast; To talk about oneself in
a self-impressed way”
▪ “I haven’t done anything memorable”
Some Final Thoughts
▪ Practice, Practice, Practice
▪ Develop your pitch with a specific person in mind– Networking vs. Employer vs. Social Setting
– How they might help you?
