Practical part - 48 hours of colposcopy practice in Portuguese recognized Colposcopy Units

Course presentationColposcopy is essential in current gynecology practice. The main indication of this exam is the early diagnosis of cervical cancer (CCU), currently the second most common cancer in young women.

Continuing medical education should be a concern to all specialists dedicated to colposcopy and CCU screening. There is no national colposcopy training program in Portugal and optional postgraduate training is insufficient. The Advanced Theoretical-Practical Colposcopy Course, directed to specialists in gynecology and obstetrics, aims to address this gap and consolidate the skills acquired at the basic Colposcopy Course. Passing this course, certified by the European Federation for Colposcopy, is one of SPCPTGI's accreditation modalities in Colposcopy.
