MISSION We believe those touched by military service can succeed at home by restoring their sense of self, family, and hope. Nationally, Hope For The Warriors® provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources.
CORE VALUES Hope For The Warriors® understands the challenges, pride, and joy of being a military family. For today, tomorrow, and years to come, we will strive to meet the changing needs of service members, veterans, and their families.
ETHOSHope For The Warriors® is a family, united by our shared conviction of honor and sacrifice.
HISTORY Hope For The Warriors® was founded by military wives in 2006 as they witnessed, firsthand, the effects of the war on service members and their families. Hope For The Warriors® remains grounded in family values as the organization expands both the span of programs offered and the number of wounded, family members, and families of the fallen assisted.
The leadership of the organization remains in the dedicated hands of military family members. Together, our board of directors, staff, and volunteers work tirelessly to serve those who have sacrificed so much. The integrity of our organization is paramount and therefore our representatives are as honorable and noble as our mission and the people we serve.
POPULATIONS SERVEDAll Hope For The Warriors® programs serve post-9/11 active duty, National Guard, and reserve service members and veterans from all branches of the military. Programs also support the entire military family, families of the fallen, and military caregivers.

NO MAN LEFT BEHIND MONUMENT Sculptor John Phelps brings to life the iconic image captured by war photographer Lucian Read. In November 2004, then 1stSgt Bradley Kasal, USMC, pushed through enemy fire to shield a wounded Marine from a grenade explosion. LCpl Chris Marquez and LCpl Dane Shaffer carried a wounded Kasal out of the house to safety. Kasal was awarded the Navy Cross for his act of heroism but attributes the success of that mission to the bravery of his Marines.
John’s work is a labor of love for his son, LCpl Chance Phelps, USMC (KIA). The monument honors those wounded in the line of duty and the spirit of brotherhood among those serving.
Hope For The Warriors® was proud to present this symbol of strength and courage to the Marine Corps Bases Camp Lejeune in March 2013 and Camp Pendleton in November 2014. The monuments stand before the Warrior Hope & Care Centers at both Marine Corps bases. Since the unveilings, thousands have visited the monuments, and they have become popular locations for reenlistments and retirement ceremonies.

CAREER TRANSITION & EDUCATIONThe Career Transition & Education pillar focuses on programs that support the career and educational goals of service members, veterans, and family members. Our team works closely with employers to create program opportunities for service members and spouses as they prepare for their transition out of the military, and after they have left the military ranks. Partnerships with universities are built to meet the needs of today’s veteran college students. Biannual scholarships are awarded to both spouses and caregivers recognizing and supporting the new role shouldered within their families. Program work is completed through intensive multi-day programs, one-day seminars, educational webinars, one-on-one mentoring, and more.

Hope For The Warriors® paid for my training when I returned to flying in 2010 through
their programs. But they did far more than fund my training. They doubled down on
my future. Their support made it feel impossible to fail.”-Captain Ryan Voltin, USMC (Ret.)

CLINICAL HEALTH & WELLNESSOur Clinical Health & Wellness programs provide a holistic, trauma-informed approach in addressing the physical, psychological, social, and environmental needs of the wounded warrior, their family, and families of the fallen. Whether experiencing physical and/or psychological wounds, wounded warriors and their families ultimately seek to find a quality of life that embraces wellness – an empowering choice toward a healthy and fulfilling life. The many programs, facilitated by licensed professionals, offer person-centered care within a comprehensive spectrum of services to meet the needs of wounded warriors and their families at various points in their recovery and, ultimately, in seeking health and wellness for self and family.

SPORTS & RECREATIONHope For The Warriors® recognizes that pursuing athletic goals and sports is a key component of the physical and psychological recovery for service members and military families. Program work includes the reintroduction of a loved sport or hobby, or the opportunity to gain new skills with the use of adaptive equipment. Through sports and recreation, Hope For The Warriors® builds a community that embraces the warrior athlete, supporting their rehabilitation and mental health.

“Team Hope For The Warriors® has helped me and many wounded service members
get back into running, hand-cycling, biking and more. With help from Hope For The
Warriors®, I was able to compete in my first 10K only 12 weeks after my injury and my
first half marathon four months later. Hope For The Warriors® helped me reach my
goal of a triathlon only one year after my injury.”-Corporal Manny Jimenez, USMC (Ret.)

“One of the greatest gifts one can receive is the gift of Hope. Through the most
difficult time in my life, it was hard to find Hope. Hope For The Warriors® gave
me that gift. They continue to stand by my side through my journey and at my
weakest points they remind me what Hope is all about. Because of Hope For
The Warriors®, I now give Hope to others.”--Samantha Bradley, Spouse of a Fallen Marine
